Hello out there!
I got a really nice (delayed) Christmas present today.:D
But I was a little disappointed!![:o]
Personally!
I think there is too much work for this very expensive "ARF" model!

U.S. guys!
Then you will know that we in the EU pay about 30-40% more in taxes, shipping, customs than what you pay in the U.S. for the same model.

But!
I just have to say that it is incredible finish/quality on this "kit" with the 78 pages instructions.

Turbin guys!
I can make a small "build" thread on swinglish, with a lot of pictures!
If there is some interest in an electric jet model?

Yeahh too cool man! [8D]

Yep make a small Build thread, I´m interested because I´m on the "green" concept since last year and don´t miss the turbine at the moment:) :D

Besides is the eBandit lighter then the turbine Version?

I swore to myself no more big EDF. But seeing the E bandit is making me twitch again.
I am set to get some flights on a E Bandit at Florida jets in a few months, and can see myself coming home with one. Come on Lasse. Get yours finished for Pampa and we can have a dust buster drag race ;) Although no Concourse de Elegance, as you are bound to win this. ;)

The e Bandit weighs 14 lbs. (6.36 Kg.) less batteries.
Add the 6500 Ma 12 batteries at 4 3/4 lbs., (2.16 Kg.) and the all up weight comes up to 18 3/4 Lbs (8.52 Kg.)
My Super Bandit checks in at 21.5 Lbs (9.77 Kg.) with a P-120 and zero fuel.
An e bandit with a turbine conversion would be substantially lighter than my Super Bandit.

The e Bandit is painted in the mold., and the lower hatch has been eliminated...the wing attachment has been cleverly changed to allow assembly at the field to be accomplished quickly through the power systems hatch.

See the details at www.bvmjets.com

Okay!
Now that 2m Vipern is almost ready for maiden, I will of course ensure that e Bandit will be ready for Pampa "this year"..
Who can resist a green dust buster race against Ali! ;)

Well, well, well! Might have to go to Pampa! The green concept? Is that when you spread the wreck all over the grass instead of the asphalt?
I likem to smoke but i guess Lipos can smoke to!

Lassa what's up with all the holes you are making, for the accessories or maybe for the look too? ;)

Lasse,

I didn't really get your first post on the thread but now I see the plane next to the BARF, am I right in thinking the E Bandit costs more than the BARF but has far less assembly done at the factory before the buyer receives it?

The manuel is pretty straight forward. Just set it up according to what he says.

Just a thought, What about an E Bandit with a Wren 44 stuck in it.

Could be a good combo.

BRG, Craig.

Craig!
If I will fly Bvm Bandits with the turbine, I would definitely go for an Bandit ARF with Jet Cat P-80 SE.
I think you get so much more for your money !!

I used the factory reccomended c.g. There's two small holes drilled on the underside of the fuse. Which battery setup are you using?

Lasse Palm 02-05-2011 04:22 AM

RE: e Bandit

I have not bought the batteries yet!!!
But anyway!
Thanks....:D
