Hi::)
In my humble opinion, if is your first jet, you need a trainer or a scale jet, but not full scale, because if is full scale like F-15 for example, you will need install sequencer in the doors, airbrake, brakes, flaps, lights and open canopy and is possible that you are a master in all things but at the moment of truth all this things are too much for the first jet. You can to buy an Avonds F-15 (best scale F-15) and when you are tired to fly you can add scale options for change to full scale. But in the end the most important thing is that you like the model that you choose, not for to be the best in scale you need to buy it, because if you make this thing you never love your jet. RE: Best scale jet
Alll those added items wouldnt be that hard. that is what i like a challenge. i will get one of those cheap jet "trainers" for my certification. the thing with all those extra add on's is will the airframe carry it ok. I dont want a jet that has to land at 80+ like a F-104 thats at 20lbs on 550 Sq".
I did look at your Mig 29 and its 10,000 with shipping and doesnt looking like it has gear or many extra's. It would be close to 20,000 for that one. Sorry By the way that F-18 looks very good. good Job |
RE: Best scale jet
The BVM F-100D gets my vote. Plus, the F-100 is a classic.
Not too many of them out there. I see lots of F-4's, F-16's, F-18's and F-86's. So, when an F-100 shows up, it gets noticed. |

Looking good Craig!!!!

RE: Best scale jet
That F-100 does look very good. the gear is half the price of the plane lol. That is pretty close to what i was looking for a little bigger than expected but still a great one to look at.

RE: Best scale jet
OK GUYS
ill give it all too you straight, its got too be the 4th generation mibo A10 with the working fan units ok its expensive but theres no better model out there, for scale lines and detail and flying just my thoughts ;) regards and happy landings |
RE: Best scale jet
well for an F-16 it doesnt get any better than this, I have researched all the F-16 makes and this version by far has the most detail. Just "my opinion" so that dont matter.

I can't say enough good things about the BVM F100.... great scale outline and awesome flyer... just a heavy bandit. And it is built like a truck, this thing is indestructible
But I guess I'm biased :D |
RE: Best scale jet
The BVM F100 is what ibam going to build for my next scale project. I have seen several of them fly and talked with the owners and I am convinced that the BVM F100 is about as good as it gets.
