Looks the same, weight almost the same i think ;) P.S at first I thought the k-180 was a turned up K-170 and almost get into an argument with Barry until he convince me to test the engine Wow what a power house :D

RE: Kingtech K-180
Was your scale holding 40?
|
RE: Kingtech K-180
I was hoping for 45lb to 50lb for 1/5.5 f16. Need to rethink next jet
|
RE: Kingtech K-180

RE: Kingtech K-180
dubd-yes that what i meant i was hoping for a 2xx to be released next.
|
RE: Kingtech K-180
Wap, I'm sure it'll be a powerhouse!
|
RE: Kingtech K-180
If its the same weight and size as the K170 they should drop it for the 180. It wouldn't be very logical to carry both since they are so close in thrust range. I to like others was hoping for a 45 lb. Guess that won't happen this season.

RE: Kingtech K-180
I am running the 170. I spoke to Barry who told me the 180 is replacing the 170.

RE: Kingtech K-180
Thank you Basil!
Like I told Basil, the 180 does have the same combustion chamber and injectors as well as the peak RPM as the 170, but that's where the similarity ends, the entire set of aerodynamic components is different, from compressor wheel down to the exhaust nozzle. The 180 will enjoy better fuel efficiency as well. Barry |

RE: Kingtech K-180
and i agree with that

RE: Kingtech K-180
Looking forward to getting my 180G, kero start. I had the 170 briefly never got to run it and soon as I heard about the 180, I sent it back in for a swap. The 180G is still a little while away but I'm sure it will be great for the skymaster large hawk.
Is the thrust 39 or 40.5? |
