Ultra Flash CG

For you guys flying the Ultra Flash. Where have you found the best CG? CARF recommends 220-225 mm from the front wing/fuse joint. Is this ideal?

I don't know where mine is right now, but I can tell you it's probably 240-45. I started at 225 and have been adding tail weight since. The 225 is a fine place to start, but I bet you move aft from there. I can actually land and aero brake now with the CG back

I hope this helps!

Most people will move it back a bit. Depends whether they balance with any fuel other than the hopper tank, most of the fuel is just in front of the balance so its affected by fuel a little. It also depends how neutral (light) on elevator you like the model to feel.

ok, thanks from both of you. I had figured the 220-225 was very conservative and could be moved aft.
