RE: OS91-Dynamax fan
Just a note, for what it's worth.
My friend and I bought this kit and converted it to Bvm .91 engine and fan and BVM by pass cut down. Results: Kick ***** fast , but , on a high speed , High G turn the wings folded and it became a lawn dart . No high G turns with this plane if useing .91 engine William |

RE: OS91-Dynamax fan
Greg,
Thanks for the photos. They really clear up your description. And, the nose photo is a great help. To answer others about versions of the Hawk. There are a few being built out of Hong Kong. The origin was Jet Hangar Hobbies (JHH). They approach a manufacturer to make this kit. The Manufactuerer was a partnership that went sour. So, when it split, They divided up the tooling. So, there are at least two kits being made from the original tooling. One goes to JHH and the other is sold by Kondor Model Products (KMP). I have not heard the origins of the other clones..... RE: OS91-Dynamax fan
Has anyone built and flown the JHH hawk with smaller turbine/wren44/simjet700? Can the weight be kept down in any way during construction/assembly? Also do wing fences come with this kit? I am concerned about grass field ops. and the tip stall iv'e been reading about in the forums. Thanks Doug

RE: OS91-Dynamax fan
Mine had no fences, there is quite a lot of washout in the wing though so it should be OK. I haven't flown it yet, it is close to finished - just a few details like plumbing left to do.

RE: OS91-Dynamax fan
CHris, How will you power your Hawk?
|
RE: OS91-Dynamax fan
OS .91 and Dynamax, same setup that came out of the Starfire. The Hawk is 2 or 3 pounds lighter...
