TEXAS JETS - MT. PLEASANT, TX
Well it's nearly time for our event. We had a great turnout last year and we are looking forward to this years event. The dates are June 14 and 15. This is a very laid back event with plenty of time for flying. Let's take a head count to see how many we can expect this year.

OK, this is not going well. A correction to the correction. On Google Maps type in northeast texas rc club and that will get you the location of our field. If this isn't right I give up.

I'll probably be there on Friday. I might head out to Waco this Saturday (June 1 or 2) if the weather gets clearer. Our flying plans haven't been working out too well lately, though... [&o]

Ron, let me know about Saturday, I may come up. Dan Avilla is moving his operation to Waco Friday. He is going to be in the Waco area for about a week and plan on flying there before he heads to Mt. Pleasant.

Hampton Inn Days Inn Quality Inn LaQuinta These hotel are in the same area and about 8.5 miles from the field You can call Dawn at Midway Travel for reservation if you want. BTW-for those that don't know Dawn, she is a jet pilot also and will be at the event. 972-264-4288 |

Waco is a fantastic field Dan, as nice if not nicer than Prado as far as facility and airspace goes. 800 x 50 if I remember correctly. would love to get some more F4 time with you boys at Waco but i'm back to the salt mine.
Mt Pleasant has a great flying field also. wide open flying and a nice runway. good people, good flying....what more could anyone ask for. hope the weather is better for everyone although we can always use the rain ;) ORIGINAL: DAN AVILLA Looking forward to it. The Waco field is 70 X 800.
At Mt. Pleasant I'm staying at the Quality Inn along with a few others. Also, there is electric in the pits for charging and fans if needed. |
