Our works like Swiss Watch since 2008, we get around 16-17 mil/gal if you keep it under 83mph, mileage goes up to 24mg under 65mph.

Is that a Dodge or Mercedes or .... what is it? And how much did it cost?

That is correct , the models newer then 2006, have the six cylinder engines. Like I sad before , get one between 2003 and 2006. I had all the sizes for my work and now the small one for the hobby.

The best thing about those sprinters is you can stand up in them. My E350 stretch was 18,600$ one year old with 28,000 miles, from a Ford dealer. Dual AC, stereo , the works, I just pulled the benches and laid down thick rubber bed liner. It has been our family workhorse for 10 years. Crazy to think how many times I put the benches in and out. But huge drawback is the windows, if you leave anything in there the crooks gonna see it. So I spend forever loading and unloading. Now that the kids are outta the house and I'm not camping in it anymore (ex enduro nut!) I may move on. I figure I could keep the van and get a trailer, beauty leaving my gear and big planes in the box, just hook up and roll. Or get the Sprinter and fit it out with racks and storage, but then I'm always driving around with all my planes in the back. At least they don't weigh anything.

Come a long way from sitting in the back seat of the car with Ringmaster in a cardboard box in my lap and my field box between my my knees, thanks Dad!

Bull I own a 2007 sprinter it won't go over 82 mph and it will get 21 mpg if you keep it under 45 mph

Check your turbo and injectors this will help with mileage and top speed.

Yeah!! And you haven't had to deal with salt on the roads in the winter. The Sprinters in Michigan are ALL rusted heaps.

Turbo and injectors have no effect on the top speed and this van is very well taken care of the mpg is in the top of the range for its class

I will tell you again , the 2007 models and newer have the 6 cylinder engines and will not give you more than 17 miles to a gallon.
You need to stay with the earlier models and I do agree abut the rust.
