Pirotti Rebel Pro with Vector Pipe

Anyone have any information, pics, build etc of a Rebel Pro with Vector Pipe installed please.

Tks in advance

I am in the process of building one for a friend, but I haven't gotten to that part yet.

Is the pipe from Pirotti or custom made somewhere else?? Is install of pipe listed in manual???

FenderBean 10-30-2015 04:22 PM

number, The pipe is from the same place as the stock. The instructions I have does not show the install but im guessing there is one if u get the pipe. Pablos latest build has the thrust vectoring pipe and has a couple pictures on his facebook page. I went with the stock pipe on mine and if I remember correctly it was about 500.00 more for the upgrade.

Tku will check Pablo's Facebook page and see what I can find.

As Scott has stated, it is made by Grumania Jets. Very nice looking pipe.

I can't wait to try it. Should be a BEAST with the 300!!

The pipe it self measures 31 1/2". the bell mouth adds 2 1/2" and the thrust vector nozzle extends another 1 1/2" beyond the pipe's length. So overall the the pipe assembly ready to install is 35 1/2" in length.

Anymore build pics of how it flew with vector pipe?

The build is basically done, but we are still waiting on a new motor to be shipped.

Any progress, flights etc?

rc4flying 04-14-2016 02:59 AM

We are going to try this weekend, but I think work may get in the way.

number27 04-26-2016 05:20 AM

Did you manage ti get out on the weekend?

rc4flying 04-26-2016 06:53 AM

Yes, were able to get out this past weekend.
The first flight was cut very short because of a flame out. The plane gave the owner plenty of time to get setup and land safely. Problem was quickly diagnosed and we tried another flight. After some passes to trim the plane, he made a few more passes to trim the thrust vectoring setup. He made some attempts at a nose vertical but quickly found that between a lot of power with the 300 installed and an over responsive vectoring, we need some adjustments. The owner only had time for one more flight. He was able to get the nose high and was able to flip the plane 3 flips in a row before losing it, but he found that the plane easily recovered for normal flight with no bad snapping tendencies. He feels good that after some CG, gyro and vectoring adjustments, it will be good.
Just wanted to say that Pirotti and ourselves do not recommend a fast flat out flight with a 300. In my opinion, I think a 220 would do the job. We will just have some more time and flights .

The green Pro has the vector thrust setup, and the yellow one is mine that was maidened also with a conventional pipe. This my second Pro because I just love the way this plane flies. Still have the first one too.
