Post pics of "functionally neat" setups please
Hello all, I have a Bandit and everything in it is buried. It looks great and I get comments on the neat appearance but recently I have had a few issues and needed to unpack all the lines and fuel pump, air valve, ECU, etc... and it was a nightmare. I'm over that!
I have a larger jet on the way and I want to have it "functionally neat" so that things aren't flopping around but not buried (at least not too bad) for maintenance purposes. If anyone else feels the same and have any pics to share or ideas please do. Thanks! :) |

I set my T-One up like this to be fairly neat, but very functional. I've actually cleaned it up a little more since then getting the CG pushed back. Those batteries on the front rail are under the tank now. The only thing buried is the smoke pump under the turbine, and the ecu and gear/smoke battery under the tank, but set up like this I can have the batteries out in 5 minutes.

I'll be working on my T-3 soon and I'm not really interested in going all bling bling on the inside. I may even eliminate the beauty board. |

This past summer I refurbished my CARF Viper and this is what I came up with on my install. The front panel is held in by being wedged and simply using the BVM Hatch Latch, pops down and twist to side to get to the batteries. I have Festos connectors to undo and just the brake and retract valve to unplug, should I want to take it completely out. The fuel pump and ECU is under the carbon fiber panel with the Fromco Wolverine switch and Fromco regulator. The Demon is mounted on the fuel tank. The Jeti receiver is mounted on one side of the fuse with the UAT on the other side of the fuse.

My SG Viperjet before it bit the dust at KJ2016. I think it's all about how neatly organized the connections on the undersides of your removable boards are that makes the difference in it being a maintenance nightmare or not.

Just spent a few weeks doing the same thing on my F-18 when I had to tear everything apart to rewire some servos. First picture shows the access to the air lines and gear with only having to remove 4 screws and move the smart fly power system to the side.
