Hi Guys,
i´m also a proud Core pilot an addicted to jets... As Dave showed already the inside and outside features of the core i will share my experiences with Jetcat Turbine Telemetry using a converter from VSpeak. I can get all information including the two text lines from the GSU on the Core telemetry display. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...2c4952f4f8.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...7e16696652.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...7237aefd9a.jpg Video footage of a JetCat P20 startup sequence: Note: The dust in this detailed views is hardly visible with naked eyes.... ;) EB |

A nice toy for after-work-flying. It fits in one piece in my car and is normally stored hanging from the ceiling in my workshop. EB |
Why is some of the display in English and some in German?

Nice. He has his Core menu set to his native German language and the V speak part is in English. |

Another of my customers flew his Core today in a turbine model, Ben is slowly changing all his models across.

Does the Core radio have a receiver that would work with Flite. Metal covered models? |
Generally the aerial tip would be clear of the flight metal, so yes. |
Great weekend with three Core radios being used in Sports jets and scale 18 month Vulcan build.

Great to see it is in action. Was that the first flight on that Core for the Vulcan build? If so, that's gutsy !
|
The Vulcan has flown a couple of times on JR, but yes first ever flights with his new Core radio on 18 months of solid work. Why not, it’s the best of everything hardware and electronic design. |
I like to test anything new to me in something less valuable. Anything can happen, they are made by people. Glad it worked, beautiful plane!!

We al know with electronics they can be fine one minute and fail the next, we also know they are incredibly reliable these days. The process we use here is to use all the equipment during the set up, that cycles the electronics multiple times by the time we are ready to fly. The Core system has the best of everything and widgets that show you the Rx’s and power supplies are working. Flying a foamie would not give me any more confidence. |
someone heard about Core Failure in Europe.. just a few minutes before take off an 747 ??
|
I heard that as well but it could just be a rumor.

before any rumors were starting I can help you with facts. I know the pilot in personal because we from CB Elektronics delivered the complete 4 ECU telemetry data converter in order to support the Kolibri turbines at this Boeing 747. 1. The CORE TX showed a white screen direct after power on 2. The statement is wrong that the problem just occurs right in front of the take off. 3. In relation to the white scren all setups were lost 4. Power Box Systems (Richard) was informed imediatley and they helped the customer during the weekend 5. It came to the point that it was a possible failure of the SD card inside the CORE TX. 6. After copy all data back to the SD Card the CORE TX was working again. Unfortunatly the B-747 modell setup data file was lost. 7. I had this CORE TX personanly in my hands and all programming again was possible including our telemetry setup. This CORE TX was sent to PowerBox System last week for further investigation of this issue. Thanks! Nothing like facts from folks on hand.
That sounds like an amazing project. |
Sounds like F1 racing... it's always the $9 part that gets you.
This is also a lesson on why to always have a computer backup if possible. |
