Well done. I love my T-one mini hawk. It's such a great flier and love the scale details.

It’s too bad they take forever to get. 20 weeks? No way Jose.

MaJ. Woody 07-15-2024 10:01 AM

I ordered mine last fall from Dirk at Pacific RC Jets and had it 5 weeks later!

Hi guys.
Finishing up my mini hawk and have it balanced at 160 mm back from the leading edge of the wing at the root, gear down, full uat, little over a quarter tank of fuel to represent the landing configuration. I was happy that I only needed to add 2 oz to the nose to get it to balance . When I put the plane on its gear with the canopy and cockpit removed, and has a hard time keeping the nose wheel on the ground and most of the time the tail falls to the ground. I think it has to do with the main gear location relative to the CG. Anybody else experience this and has it been a problem?

Cog

Hi
The COG at 160mm is correct. Unfortunate the front wheel is pretty light with and w/o the canopy and cockpit.
You havemade a very nice and clean build.
Looking forward to read about the flying in combination with the X95. I am using a KT K86+g4.
It flies great.

Enjoy it.

Cheers

Hi.
Thank you for the reply! I suspected it was the main gear position but I feel a lot better knowing it's not just my model and that I have the correct CG.

Has anyone made an attempt to get two wheels on the nose gear?

afjetmech 01-11-2025 11:47 AM

Ordered one of these right after Thanksgiving. Hope to see it before next summer is over. Surprised at the lack of info/posts/videos of this jet other than the ones of Kyler Solt and a couple others. Even the Pacific RC jets Facebook page is dead. Maj Woody, looking forward to your flight reports and opinions/suggestions. What club do you fly at up in Rochester?

Got mine a few months back. I’ve got all
the servos, jetcentral engine. Awaiting some free time. All Savox servos.

How long did yours take? I ordered the PNP so I expect that to add some time to mine.

FYI
Mine should be delivered next Monday (27). It just left California. I ordered the PNP with sea shipping. It's going to be about 3 1/2 months total.....not bad

Well 3 1/2 months would put me in the middle of March, but I'm sure the Chinese New Year is going to make it more like April.

Is anyone using the supplied (glass/plastic) UAT? I've owned several T1 models and have never seen that one before.

If you’re referring to the T1 branded glass UAT myself and a few club members have used them and they work great, no issues.

I received mine yesterday. This is the 5th T-One model I've owned and the quality of this one may be the best. It looks really good.
One question about servos. It looks like they have changed the elevator servo to a MJ (MJB-4509HV). It is plenty strong at 600+ oz, but I have no experience with these servos and am hesitant to rely on this for the elevator.
The rest of the servos are GDW which I have used plenty of times with 0 problems.

Does anyone have experience with this MJ servo on the elevator?
