Hitec Servos

Has any one had any experience with the new digital hitec servos? Just wondering, I was thinking of putting the HS-5645mg in a hot spot any comment good, bad, indifferent, would be appreciated.

Hitec's

Hi Jester.

I am about 3 weeks away from the maiden flight with my Hotspot :D , powered by a TJT-3000. I have a pair of Hitec 5945MG's for the elevons. As I recall they were in the same ballpark as the JR 8411. This servo was a bit cheaper than the JR and it included a real nice aluminum servo arm (1 hole is threaded)

Upon comparison, the Hitec seemed to have a bit less backlash in the gear train :) (both right out of the box)

Most of the remaining servos are also Hitec's, other than the Wing-Maxx's in the fins. I am running a pair of 6Volt packs with a MH voltage regulator. The gear is Robart, wheels/brakes by Trim.

We shall see...
