RE: JR 945 Receiver
We have used the JR 940, 945, 950, and the 955 with no prblems at all. We have used them with base loaded antennas and with stock antennas in turbine jets with not a single failure.............yet, knock on wood!!!!
I personally prefer the dual conversion 940 and 945. Just make sure your installation is correct. |
RE: JR 945 Receiver
Been using a 945 with a Revolution Whip in my Bandit.....no issues....300 ft range check with antenna off the 10X...

RE: JR 945 Receiver
I'm not sure who you talked to at Horizon but I would ask you to re-confirm your information.
There are many receivers at Horizon and perhaps there is a misunderstanding. The 945 is a current prooduct of Horizon and there are no plans to discontinue the 945 for many years. Here is a link to the Horizon site for more product information. http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/prod...Prod=JRPR945** Additionally, the main difference between the 940 and 945 is the SMT (Surface Mount Technology). SMT allows the use of smaller components hence reducing the potential for vibration type failures. The RF internals are very similar to the 940 and performance evaluations are identical. RE: JR 945 Receiver
In addition to what Pete said.. The R1000 is in fact what the 955S is called overseas. When I tested these receivers before their introduction into the US market, mine were labelled R1000S.
