RE: Speed records

guardian,s imagination may be maxed out, but where would we be without some good, youthful imagination and people who want to push the envelope.....flying free flight rubber band powered planes?...if he,s got the bucks and brains he could do it ,with a lot of work ,probably not within a year, but axial flow r/c turbines are out there and they are/will be faster or more powerful as far as size and more efficient with fuel..]... ...[after burners? thats a tuff one.] may be more trouble than benifit. that german dude made a really fast plane by *****g out design and power, and ideas like no landing gear. i say go for it gaurdian, don,t rush it, do your homework /research. ...i,ll bet you got at least 50 years left on earth, thats plenty of time , they,ll probably be arf kitting anti-matter light speed r/c spacecraft by then. remember the x moto[bigger, faster, farther, higher] but anyone wanting to try to fly r/c craft over 200 mph needs to have the sence to go way out in the desert or some where away from anybody who could be hurt ,ama is for insurance at club fields, but what you do with an r/c out in the boonies is you and the law or faa....bring your 200+mph planes to the fly-ins for show and tell, along with a video from the desert .guardian if you read this, feel free to pm me if you want to bounce ideas.i have built/assembled/repaired/modified/tested/ect,a LOT of turbines from full scale dc-10 motors [,60,000+ lbs of thrust,] down and have logged a lot of time in the desert, mojave ,that is,.but i can,t talk about all of that,.so don,t ask............................................... ... GO GUARDIAN , THE SKY IS YOURS

It looks like the verticals would burn off if you actually started that Wren.

RE: Speed records

OK if you want a jet to go 500 mph. Follow this new design:D:D:D:D:D

1. Buy a long broomstick 2meters long from the local hard wear store.
2. Using 3 rolls of electrical tape a p200 turbine to the broomstick.
3. Attach a long thin bottle 1L, ECU and batteries.
4. Get a pen and write jet on the broomstick in bold letters
and finally step 5. Shove this "jet" into the ground, start up the turbine and hope for the best.

I hold no responsibility for this wonderful jet design. And I strongly don’t recommend it for people who like to keep their turbines, its sort of a one hit wonder design.

LOL happy flying.
