RE: Waco Weekend
The weather looks great with light winds so a Jet gathering in Waco is on.
See you there Dawn |
RE: Waco Weekend
I would like to drive up to Waco from the Canyon Lake area and observe, if that's OK with the group. Which day would you suggest - Saturday or Sunday?
|
RE: Waco Weekend
I hope the weather in Waco is better than the weather for Houston. I am headed to Houston today for the weekend. I was hoping to hookup with Gregg and Paul and check out the Houston field so it looks like I am in a catch 22. If the weather is good in Waco, the Houston gang will be in Waco. If the weather is bad, it doesn't matter, no flying anyway. I guess we could always hanger fly. :D

Bobber
You are welcome to join us. Also if you fly RC you are welcome to bring anything to fly. This is not limited to jets. As far as the best day to come, I'm not real sure. Some are coming Friday evening and staying until Sunday. Some are coming just one day. I'll be there Sat. and Sun. |
RE: Waco Weekend
The weather in OKC is going to be crappy so I my try to fly down for the day.
I will bring my turbine heli again, but now it is in a bell 230 body. Is any one going to be flying eurosports? I have one that I am building and would like to see one fly. |
RE: Waco Weekend
Greg and Paul Bingham will be there with a Eurosport among other planes.
|
RE: Waco Weekend
Great!
I am bringing two of my friends who are also building euro-sports. We should have 4 flying in OKC by Oct!!. |
RE: Waco Weekend
Don,
Come on Don, you should have those ready by the Greater Southwest in Waco.:D The weekend after Labor Day. That's 2 1/2 months off. Don't let things making money to support yourself get in your way building Eurosports. I don't:) |
RE: Waco Weekend
I plan to be there around 4pm Friday. Don't have a jet to fly, my Bobcat crashed first week of April due to pilot error on finnal, but will have a 60 size stinger to fool around with and I'm bringing a Bobcat XL kit to sell if anyone is interested.

>>>>You might want to rethink using digital servos on the big barn door surfaces like flaps, and speed brakes. They'll suck a battery pack into oblivion very quickly while they try very hard to keep the surface exactly where you want it.
>>>>> david....carring 6,000 mah......no problem....fly all day and no charging.....but now that you mention it i will throw on the super nova and see exactly what she uses a flight....im a thinkin it around 500 mah max don if the weather holds we will bring a euro fighter....or 2 gregg |
RE: Waco Weekend
I'll be out there Saturday, with a half finished Topcat. You guys can help me splash on the Bondo! :) And I can be pit boy for a day.

RE: Waco Weekend
So guys,
What's the weather like there? It's total rain here in Houston. I would like to come up there but my wife is well being just that. I'm still working on her. Anyway, thought I would check with you first to see if it was a washout weekend. Shawn |
RE: Waco Weekend
Not being a weatherman myself and after looking at weather.com, I'm glad I'm going to be in Waco and not in Austin or Houston. :D

We will be there for the day on sat assuming the weather is not too bad, with the Bell-230 Jet Copter.
I have a surburban rented at the airport. Can some one give me directions from the waco airport to the field. |
RE: Waco Weekend
I'll be there Sunday AM. Sure hope the weather holds.

Don
Don't know where the Waco airport is, but from I-35 take exit 330 (hwy 6) go west on 6, cross over lake, take 1st exit after lake, proceed west on frontage about 8 tenths of a mile, turn right on Overflow Road, field will be the first entrance on the right. |
RE: Waco Weekend
Well we made it as far as dallas due to thunder storms.
So we ate a PF Changs and flew back to OKC. Maybe next time! |
RE: Waco Weekend
Good Call
Going to try it again tomorrow. |
RE: Waco Weekend
