I don't know who's it is but Bryce sent me that pic a while ago when he was starting his project and said that it was a guy in California's, he was trying to prove to me that "it does fly." All I can say is that when I tried to take a picture of what Bryce is working on he got pissed and took my camera and deleted it! (he took it kind of personal!:D) Man is he gonna kill me when he sees this.........sorry B, but that thing is awesome!.......................ok i promise i'll shut up from now on![:o]

I think you can tell the age of this poster by types of aircraft listed (ie those within the last couple of decades). IF you are asking the best looking figher EVER, then certainly, the P-51 Mustang and F4U are WAAAAAAY up on the list, if not in the top few positions. If you are limiting this poll to JET fighters, then as others have pointed out, there are timeless designs like the F-86 and F-4 that will ALWAYS get top votes as "the best looking" ever.....

Agreed!!!!! P-51 for props and F-86 for Jets!

i too think the mig 29 is one bad ***** machine! The F-16 however is probably my favorite all time plane. I wish Comp-ARF or Skymaster would offer either one of these or especailly the 16 in an affordable ARF like their current line. Russ[8D]

Me personally i love them all but if i had to choose i would say


1 SU-37 " just something wild about thrust vectoring"
2 F-14 Tomcat "i was tomcat born and tomcat bread and pretty soon i'll be tomcat dead"
3 Mig-29
4 F-4 Phantom " dad flew one in vietnam so i have to put this one in"

No competition...the Hunter wins every time! The Lightning is an awesome performer too, so a picture of that is posted too!

I can't help thinking that if more R/C jet pilots took a gander at the "Ford's" 3-view drawings, there'd be a few more votes for it. I can't wait for the JHH Skyray to go into production...I have a brand new Wren 54 sitting in my office waiting for the kit.

Thanks for all the opinions.
Looks like F-18 is winning, and I can understand that, beeing what I would call "a clean cut design".
However another plane that is also a "clean cut design" is Eurofighter but it is not very popular. I don't see why not - for me it's an elegant event "classy" design.

I do support F-14 Tomcat. The line art of this bird is splendid. The designer who draw the line of this fighter must be a master of design.
That's why I am still can not giving us the hard works.

While the pics of that model do show it in the air, it never flew for very long, or very well. There were a lot of theories of what the problem was, but the project was put aside without resolution for personal reasons.

BTW, the model shown in the pic is a twin EDF. (See: [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19155]YF-23[/link])

The F18 hands down gets my vote for the best looking fighter jet .The F4(in Vietnam camo) pulls up a close 2nd!! :D
