Update Artes Jets Eagle !!!
Hi Jettset99,
Are you talking about the TJT 3000 'Eagle'? If so, its rated thrust is 27.5 lb continuous @126K RPM. The 'TEMS' ECU will not let you go any higher so please don't expect the 30+ lb thrust level in your tests. If you got the JG-100 'Eagle' kit with FADEC ECU I don't know if the same software limit applies. Please note that the JG isn't included in the AMA application that just went through on the TJT version. TJT/JG at 34 lb is a military spec, to my knowledge not for sale to the R/C community. Who quoted you an the 34lb engine? That being said, I have test run one of these at 132 K, an awesome sound, temp is starting to get on the higher side, and it makes pretty serious thrust!!! I wouldn't expect to get 50 hrs of runtime at 132 K though. Thx, Kelly |
Eagle!
Hi Yes your Right I can set up the rpms... but , I am limited to 120k rpm due to Ama Rules. I am applying for a conditional Waiver to fly @ my local feild.

Update Artes Jets Eagle !!!
So yours must be one of the all-blue engines? Kinda cool looking... Although I'm not an ArtesJet distributor/rep, please feel free to fire any question my way. Is the engine pre-assembled or in parts? The core JG engine is almost identical to the TJT-3000. If you want to have it switched over to the TJT brand for AMA acceptance at a later date, that can easily be arranged.
FYI: Expect around 22lb at 120K. Have fun :D Kelly |

Conditional Waiver
No such thing.
An engine is accepted by the AMA or it is not. Simple as that. |
Update Artes Jets Eagle !!!
An engine is accepted by the AMA or it is not. Simple as that. I know that.....I just wanted to hear this tale.....it has all the makings of being a good one. You know....Turbine engines, excess thrust....and throw in a dash of BS..... just to spice it up! |
Homebuilt Turbine Waiver
I Am going to apply for a Non-production Turbine Waiver with The Ama Im hopeing they will approve this motor under doc533. If not I will just fly @ the dry lake bed:)

Update Artes Jets Eagle !!!
Hi Guys,
Gee, and all this only one day after we get the AJ/TJT 3000 AMA approved. Just to clarify for you all, the production engine, manufactured by us that has been approved is the AJ/TJT 3000 Eagle, the specs for this engine are available on our web site www.tjt.bz It is our intention, once we find out exactly what the ruling is, to have this engine approved as a kit engine. I believe that at this time, for an engine to be approved as a kit engine, it must first be approved as a production engine, and that there are certain limitations placed on the kit version by the AMA, such as a limited max rpm. I also understand that a home built engine falls into yet a different catagory. AJ/TJT have complied with the AMA rulings for approval for the AJ/TJT 3000 Eagle as a production engine, at this stage that is all. If a customer chooses to buy and build a kit version of the engine then he/she must comply with the AMA rullings on kit engines. BRG, Chris at TJT. |
Ama Ruling
Ok ,Thanks for the proper responce Chris ,I dont understand why some of the guys act so childish trying to bash at every opportunity,I will try and shed some light with a call to The Ama in the morning and hopefully post the results!

Hi Tam,
Brace yourself, it will be on its way back to you mid next week, Sorry for the daly but we wanted to get the whole AMA thing done and out of the way so that all the engines we send out from here are to the full AMA approved spec, you are going to love this engine. BRG, Chris at TJT. |

Maybe it's the inconsistent spacing, capitalization and punctuation. Not saying that's it. Just offering it as a possibility. Paul |

ouch :D

Update Artes Jets Eagle !!!
Maybe instead of a turbine wiaver we should all get an English language waiver :-)

Update Artes Jets Eagle !!!
I don't really mean any harm...just my wack sense of sarcasm. It is just hard not to notice these things. Afterall we're not speaking, we're writing. I try my best to bite my tongue. It only gets the best of me every 6 months or so. And actually, Jettsetts' post have improved quite a bit. Just trying to raise the level here.
Occasionally I refer my many Rhodes Scholar friends here and don't want them to get the wrong message about us. Sheyeah right...like I have friends that smart :) |
Update Artes Jets Eagle !!!
Chris,
What does BRG in your salutation mean. Best Regards Mates? Better Run Girls? I've noticed Tam using that also and was just inquisitive as to what it meant. BRG, Paul |
Eagle!
Ok, I must of missed something, but this motor specs say its capable of 33.6 lbs of thrust? I do know the manufacture of this particular motor knows allot more than the average Joe! So I will do the research and post the results, for the guys who would like to know, without spinning their wheels.I also have confirmed that the ecu is fully programmable to adjust rpm up to 250,000:)
|
250.000 RPMs
Let me know when you've got the ECU setup to turn 250,000 rpm, I wanta be a long way from that run-up!! :o :D :stupid:
