AMT Concorde?

What ever happened to it? I heard they where going to build a smaller one first to find the correct CG or something. Do they plan on flying it? Just curious. That's all.
Thanks,
Craig

RE: concord

Has anyone heard the status of the big AMT Concorde lately? It came up during a discussion among modelers the other night. A search yielded this thread, but I notice it is old!

RE: AMT Concorde?

If AMT need the correct C of G I can fix that !

At low speeds the Cof G needs to be at 54 % of the root chord. However, once supersonic they will need to move it aft to 58% at Mach 2 and then return it progressively to 54 % during the decell.

BAC and Aerospatiale found a trim tank in the tailcone the best answer, worked perfectly , and eliminated trim drag considerably improving cruise fuel burn.

However, this will only work if the AMT Concorde wing is exactly the same shape as the original Concorde and that shape is VERY complex with twist, camber and droop , particularly the outer panels.

Correction, the forward point of the C of g should read 53% of root chord. DG.
