RE: jet pack project
that is one complicated looking contraption.

RE: jet pack project
I have GOT to build one of these.... Any one want to fly it ?
Eddie |
RE: jet pack project
it needs an ejection seat.
|
RE: jet pack project
Ah,
Not being posted on Ebay for a name then........:D No idea if it will work, but no tape, carpet slippers and a worrying self portrait photograph and this all written by a cohort rather than the man himself. Which one might you think has more chance of working eh...oh yes and there's some radio gear there! Gazzer |
RE: jet pack project
looks like something from the movie "Alien"..... didn't Sigourney Weaver put on one of those and fight the queen mother alien?
|
RE: jet pack project
Turn that on and watch the neighbors cat, dog, pet bird...all being sucked across the yard into the top of that thing!
|
RE: jet pack project
Ok Here is another one. Check out this Laptop.. without and with thrust vectoring.. Is this Bill' Gates sales pitch to putting Windows on all flight computers??? Ha

RE: jet pack project
Well this guy is still at it, I just got an update today.
I should expect to see him on the Darwin awards soon. Here is the update - I am all set for a tethered test tomorrow. If things go as I expect, I will do a free flight test immediately following. The next email you get from me will be telling you to go see the flight on the skywalker web site tomorrow. Wish me luck. Richard |
RE: jet pack project
Hope he has health insurance.
Oh wait, he'd only need that if he was ACTUALLY going to try and fly it! But since its simply a scam, he's safe. |
RE: jet pack project
Lets see....Absolutely beautiful weather in Ohio TODAY. Rain forecast for tomorrow.
Sounds like: "Free beer tomorrow" signs. Why wait until tomorrow????? Dave |
RE: jet pack project
check out his test vid.. [link=http://skywalkerjets.com/]http://skywalkerjets.com/[/link] ......... is he tethered to the top beam only?
|
RE: jet pack project
ha ha ha ha ha !!! he flopped around like a chicken !! i want to see the full altitude flight test next :D
|
RE: jet pack project
Did you see at the end how he keep moving his feet forward...hahhaah
Its because they were cooking in his shoes... hahah.. Ben there |
RE: jet pack project
He may perform the VERY FIRST full scale, human Kangaroo Chicken Flop maneuver (just prior to the death maneuver)!!! [X(]
|
RE: jet pack project
Too funny ...
When doing hover trials would it not make more since to tether your waist to the ground rather then a beam over your head... After all the thought is to go up.... :) |
RE: jet pack project
he seems determined.. but unless he tethers it better he is going to get hurt... looks like the left side was stuck or he let the control go aiming toward his legs.
|
RE: jet pack project
Give him this, he has guts. Stupid, but guts. Bob

ORIGINAL: CFII1974 Too funny ... When doing hover trials would it not make more since to tether your waist to the ground rather then a beam over your head... After all the thought is to go up.... :) I think if it had been on his waist he would have already eaten a double decker dirt sandwich. I was wondering how much of that dirt flying is going in those engines. [sm=spinnyeyes.gif] |
RE: jet pack project
This may be a scam, but he has invested a fair amount of money in the engines. Now he needs some BVM heat shield on his shoes, pants legs, and his *****. LOL
Maybe a bungee cord for the teather????????????? Ha HA |
RE: jet pack project
New video! :D
http://www.skywalkerjets.com/ Maybe he can do a flight demo for California Jets crowd. [8D] David Hudson www.dcmodelshop.com |
RE: jet pack project
What a bunch of crap! Notice that the rearward tether line is always in tension. And when his feet go off of the ground, the jet-pack does not get any higher at all. All he is doing is moving forward with thrust and then moving his feet forward and up. Then a turbine injests one of the RPM wires (that's why it was damaged).
Gimme a break!!! |
RE: jet pack project
He floated... I saw it! He almost went as high as David Blaine!
