Thank you for your interest in the PST Panther. Some of you may have seen some early examples of the PST Panther in 2005. PST made a number of changes to the airframe production, quality and detailing based on feedback from its reviewers. We also invite you to check out the manual posted on our website.

The final version of the fully composite PST Panther is now in full production in Thailand. It features amazing rivet / panel line detail and virtually seamless molding techniques. We are very excited about this new product and want to do it right. The airframe will be competively priced but in order to do so, we have chosen to sea freight the initial batch of 25 kits. As a result, kits will not be widely available from our Seattle WA. warehouse until mid - late March. Available colors will be all Dark Sea Blue, and all Silver versions. We will also offer complete landing gear and scale upgrade packages. Complete " Go fly / All inclusive " packages will also be available.

We know that some of you are really anxious to see or acquire a kit. We are too....so within the next week, PST will be airfreighting 4 production kits to us that will be shown at upcoming trade shows and jet events.

There have been some enquiries on custom painted versions - please check our website for further pricing / availablilty.

This is one of the prototype Panther which has logged over 150 successful flights. We test her out at least 3 times every Sunday.

The test pilot is our Thailand Aerobatic Champion and you can tell from his smile how happy he is with the Panther..;)

I got a chance to see one of the shipping crates as well and was impressed with how well they were packaged for shipment from Thailand. Definitely going to be a winner!!!

Can't wait to get mine. I read the manual allready and is very easy to follow. And a strait forward assembly. The most difficult part seems the elevator control so far. Rest is a pice of cake. Definitely a winnerand a keeper for me.

Will this plane fit an old Ram 750 engine? Most of the new planes that list 12-18 lbs of thrust are refering to the new high power small engines like the Wren supersport.

Yes, the PST Panther will fly fine with a Ram 750. A number of years ago I had an opportunity to fly a Ziroli Panther which in size is similar to the PST version. The Ziroli was powered by a 750 detuned to about 19 lbs of thrust. The aircraft flew very nicely. There is ample room in the interior for engines of 12 - 28 lbs however we would suggest limiting the thrust to 20 lbs max.

Here is a pic of my new PST Panther. I paid the shipping cost to get it here and am well pleased with it. Mine was the primered version, which I then painted. It is based on a F9F-2 which was based at Pensacola NAS around 1956. I retrofitted the cockpit for a full pilot figure and built my own instrument panel and ejection seat. The decals and marking are my own. I still have a little weathering to do and a final coat of Flex-n-Flat, but it is starting to come around. Mine will be powered with one of my trusty PST 600R's. I opted to build the full scale gear doors operated by two sperate MiniHobby gear door sequencers. I couldn't resist taking it out in the sun shine today and taking a few pics.

Using a little Aeropoxy, I made a few welding beads where the tank joins the wing.

I wanted this Panther to look "used" not a storefront polished model. By 1956, these things were either being used in the field training or as target drones to make way for the other new more sophisticated fighters. These were the heavy metal machines of the 50'2 and I wanted it to look like it had seen some time on the carrier...

Nice job on the Panther.

Mine is going to be done like a drone. Not sure what year it's from, any idea?. Can you post a few pictures of the flaps and gear doors please. What is the all up weight with the 600R?

I don't have the final weight, the engine is still in another plane. Feels about as heavy as my Ziroli Panther which flies at abhout 21 pounds. The flaps are a no brainer, everything is already hinged, with Robart hinge points on the ailerons, elevators and rudder and the flaps with large Dubro type flat hinges, you just set them up the way you want and glue them in. The pcokets are cut and the mounts are provided.
The gear doors are another item. The inner mains are hinged with piano hinges and actuated by a HD servo. You could use air pistons here and that would be the first choise, but I was having a hard time finding the correct placement for the pistons so an HD servo gave me plenty of throw. Two small 1 inch BVM air cyclinder actutate the front doors, which are again hinged with piano hinges. The outer mains are hinged and attach to the strut with a small elastic band. The gear doors are provided separately if you want to use them, or you can use them as a cut out and have open wheel wells.

Tommy, wow...nice looking Panther and you did a very professional job on her. Noticed that the panel lines and rivets are not exagerated and that's how they should be at this scale...very nice...

Peter, your Panther is ready and she will be on her way to you vey very soon. Thanks for all the tips and comments which I have already updated to the manual.

RAM 750 and P-80 will fit into this Panther...lots of room but you will need different tail pipe length. If you are ordering the tail pipe, please specify the turbine being used. This Panther is very strong and can take 18lbs turbines but 14lbs is more than enough.

Its Sunday...PST is working overtime and I am going to fly my Panther and F-18E now....there should be around 20 jets today...;)
