For you UK guys! can you help me with this pilot? and his origin, I know he is about 1/5 scale and comes from England but who made him and where??? He came with a model I bought second hand in about 98' I would like to get another little guy the same, as he is my favorite....any help appreciated

This pilot looks like an A.H. Designs half body to me. Both myself (Pete's Pilots) and A.H. make all sorts of pilots in the U.K. A.H. concentrate mostly on pilots with actual clothing,and are of a more generalised nature, wheras mine are more specific and made mainly out of latex. I do have some clothed glider/light plane pilots with bodies made from soft foam.These are mainly 1/4 and 1/3 scale. I do a 1/4 Jet pilot and have sold about 6 to date !! Customers must remember there are hundreds of different sizes and types of model aircraft , so only a custom made solution will often do. Certainly Dragon Models Pilots and Elite Aviators from Blue Box cannot be beaten for detail and finish .They are absolutely fantastic. BUT, THEY ONLY COME IN ONE SCALE 1/6 and they are HEAVY weighing in at approx 8oz . Both I and A,H, have tried to keep the weight down .A.H. Design can be contacted at :-A.H. Yes, if possible I would really like to see some of the pilot figures pictures. I have seen so many good things written about them I would like to see some of them.

I am able to make over 400 types of pilot from my library of moulds .built up over 15 years or so. Of course that number of optional styles is diluted when you realise I make pilots in some 12 or more scales. Pilot making is not like "Action Man" or" G.I. Joe "making , where the manufacturer can stick to one scale and maximise his costs and efficiency. That said, I'll try to show you a few pilots.You can Email me for more ,I have over 100 pics.
