Nothing could be as sleek as a DV8R;) I just wish the color schemes were nicer looking.
Maybe a white version? Is the landing gear solely in the fuse?
Bob

ORIGINAL: SkyKnight

Kinda looks like a DV8R with the twin vertical stabs.....that fighter profile!!!
;)

The landing gear is all in the fuselage making field rigging a 5 minute job. Loved the video, flight envelope looks to be very wide, nice slow flight and crisp 8 point roll!

Hopefully mine will be here in a couple of days if the French post office co-operate. Probably too busy eating cheese :)

Brian

I think both of us are suffering in the brain cell department! I have never had an Avonds F15 :) I think I will leave the vertical stabs with the Scorpion decals, I have to find out how to remove the decals I don't want when the kit arrives, I am hoping they are stuck on vinyl and can be removed easily. I have some decals spare but no "skulls" which I used on my "Jolly Rogers" F15! The delay in getting the model is frustrating, delivery was supposed to be within 2-3 weeks of order, I have now been waiting 6 weeks. Promises, promises!

Best regards

John

My tracker number is still telling me the parcel is in the depot at Milly La Foret awaiting collection. It has been doing that for the last eight days. In future I will wait until you have the kits physically in stock as there seems to be no advantage in getting it direct from Aviation Design. Eric needs to get a grip on this or start using DHL or equivalent I wouldn't mind paying the extra to have my kit when promised by him.It is very frustrating not to be able to keep track of delivery.

John

I think this thread should be retitiled "The non-arrival of the Scorpion" :)

your wright mate its very unfair by the post people to take this long, mine are in the same shipment, and all are sold but 1 now.
its starting to pee some customers off now, like yourself that just want to get there hands on there new toys.im so sorry about this john.

YOU LIMEYS THINK YOU GOT A PROBLEM...........HA hA. EVERY TIME I get a shipment from the factory to the states and the invoice attached is over 2000 dollars ( very easy when the euro is at 1.31 to the dollar )the US customs become involved , the parcel is taken through the shippers to the customs where as I am sure you are aware they are extremely busy serving the needs of a 300 million person nation , and when they get round to my paltry little model airplanes to inspect , X- ray, and double check for powdered substance, it can take three weeks to get them cleared, and to do that I have to pay a customs agent to clear the shipment....then when free at last another week to get them across the vastness of the United States, and into the hands of the eager flyers waiting patiently for them......... of course the customers get tired of my excuses.... but hold on.......it's usually worth waiting for....so many of my people are used to driving 3or 4 hundred miles to get what they want...... so you limeys who live right on the doorstep, jump in your jalopy's and drive over to the factory and pick yours up.. it's only a hundred miles from the chunnell..
orite mate ! git up them apples and pears and cast your mince pies to the south, you can see france from there !!!!........ no insult intended.......just here for the beer !......bars open..................................

Malcolm

Thank you for underlining the difficulties experienced by your goodselves in catering to the impatient jet community. Maybe the manufacturers could curb their enthusiasm when it comes to announcing new models and then we would not be so dissappointed when they fail to arrive within the promised timescale.:)

Mark

There is your answer, rent a big white van, drive to Calais, get Eric to meet you there with a load of kits in his big white van, go to the Hypermarket and get your Christmas booze, cheese and other French goodies on the cheap and you have killed two birds with one stone.

You could then include a bottle of Champers with each kit and we will all be happy!

John.....great idea..........makes good sense,,,,,,,, but unfortuneatly.....it is not possible to ferme' la bouche
especially when the manufacturer lets the cat out of the bag to early ( not M. Rantet ) ther are no secrets in this game.........to small a community...............

Mark..........But I couldn't possibly even think about coming back , even for you and the lovely Sian....I couldn't afford to fill up the tank on my Chevrolet Surburban at $7 a gallon..... then there's Sainsbury's UG ! and I couldn't live in world full of Japarti's & rogan gosh.....any more,,,,,,, NO ! the US is the only place left in the world to reside......sunshine, flying year round, pretty girls everywhere ,..what else could an old Fart like me want ?I miss the guys of course Steve , Ian, etc etc,,,, but it's been ten years now ....I'm long forgotten!!!!.......best wishes to you both.....MK

fair play mate, those are big boys toys,i can not afford toys like that with my profit margins.im not letting sian and the girls see your dog!!god we have enough animals here in wales.if i could sell scorpions as quick as the ones i just have sold i might be on the wright track.but i have a great life now here in the hills,i fly when i like and set up jets all the time for people, its fantastic.
