>>I have a Dynajet pulse jet engine mounted in a F-86 Ukie, what am I bid? <<
I have a full set (six sheets) of the orgional plans for the U-control DynaMax F-86. They were published in one of the old magazines about a million years ago! Well, seems like it must have been in the late fifties. They were very scale like , and I'm sure must be a collectors item. Not really for sale unless someone REALLY wants them! :-) Regards, Joe |

Originally posted by Jetset A gentleman brought some home video to ur club meeting last night, of two pulse jets flying at an event in England. I think the date said 1989. Anyway, it is the first time I actually got to see video of these things and all I can say is WOW!!!!! The planes were a type of delta with a short nose section with canards. Each plane had THREE pulsejets on it and they were amazing!!! The sound and speed was incredible! I just had to say something about it 'cause man, it was cooooolll!! Any pulse jets videos clips out there anywhere!? :stupid: Myles :D Goto http://www.usrcjc.org/links.htm and select Z- Models to if you want to see it..Really awsome but im not a pulsejet person myself..I personally think a sound anology would be the sound of a 12 gauge shotgun going off about 200 time a sec. |

Cedric fixed up the web page, this is the new link: http://www.conceptserviceselectrical...e/richard5.htm Richard Newman Oh, and that other pulsejet link is Awesome!!!!!! Pulse Jet
Several years back there was a company called jet engine technoligies that sold plans for a pulse jet engine. I got a set they were in a book style and said it had 7hp of thrust. I made a couple and they were awesome until while flying one day ended up with a huge fireball was just glad it wasnt on the ground. after that i stopped making them but i did enjoy them just too dangertous. I still have the plans somewhere and maybe one day build another and put it on a boat :0)

Re: Pulse Jet
If you look at the photos on my site, you can
see the vapors of unleaded gasoline, going up in the air. You couldn't see that with your eye's, only the camera caught it. It could have removed the roof off my shop, after seeing those photos, never again will I start a controlled explosion anywhere near my home/shop! What about some video action?
Does Pulsejet Harry have any video clips of this beast in action?:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
That would be so coooool! Myles |
Re: What about some video action?
One of the Nasa guys Woketman works with does have it, you can see the tape jumping when he gets in close, from the shock waves. But I don't think anyone has web space for the video, Woketman?

Richard is referring to the fact that the acoustic energy is so damn earsplittingly intense that a work bud of mine, that showed up to video, actually noticed that when the exhaust was briefly pointed towards the video camera, the image had wavely lines in it. It appears that the frequency of the pulsejet exhaust tuned up with the 8mm video tape or the heads and caused enough amplitude of vibration to disturb the picture. Now that is WOW factor!!!

No no no, the bet was specifically that PulseJet Harry could not get one to fly. This was a very safe bet, in my opinion, cuase he and his dad had piddled around with R/C for several years and STILL had not even successfully flown a trainer. So it was obvious mouth-shooting-off when he boldly claimed that he would build a flyable pulsejet. It was too good an easy money bet to pass up! He failed and I won and that was 1.5 years ago. Then, he was gullible enough to enter into another bet this year which he also lost. In fact, tonight is payoff night. He and his beautiful bride are taking my family to Outback Steakhouse (this was predetermined to be the prize, not $$$) for my all expenses paid meal. All I have to do is point the waitress towards the most expensive drink/apetizer/entree/desert that they have. HAH!

Pulse jets WOW factor!!
Ah. A pulsejet-roasted steak would be so fine. About ten seconds each side...
|
Who's on first?
You thought he was going to win at the last minute, and took a bet with me he would win. Therefore, since you entered the bet, you still owe ME and my wife a steak dinner. Shame you had to place that bet, I told you the only way he's gonna ever go one full circuit around the field in controlled flight, is if we build it!
And its way to much fun (and funny) to ever mess that up! Richard Newman Ah, Harry is that 97 octaine in your hand?
