The Bluegrass Jet Jam is off to a good start with about 30 pilots registered as of today. It was hot (in the low 90's) and mostly sunny but with a nice breeze down the runway. Lots of flying and no mishaps that I saw. Good flying field and great support from the local guys. Here are a few shots I took inbetween flights.

I'll post a few more pics in the following posts.

OK, I screwed up the size of the pics....l'll try again

Whew, Thats all I have got to say. A big thanks to all who helped make this event a great success, we could not have done it without you. I know I have had a great time hanging out with everyone and flying, hope you guys did aswell. I will post several high res pictures in a few days, might even have some video...

[8D]I think the living room is becoming quite a "hot" commodity....

I had a really good time!!!---The event was perfect...Just the right amount of pilots so that the skies were continuously busy but not overcrowded....On Saturday I flew four or five times before noon!!! You really have to put this event on your list as the facility is top notch....I plan on attending next year!!!!

Tommy, It was a pleasure... You will always have a open invite to the Living Room, but being the DJ, we might need to straighten you out on that, haha :D

Here are a few pics, more to come later this week.

WOW! What a weekend. Had a great time as usual guys. The flying is only half the fun. The after hours "entertainment" is just plain nuts. Can't wait to do it again. Hats off to Joeboo and the flightline crew, those guys were out in the heat all day. Those who missed this event are missing out on a great time. Unofficial flight count - Hot Spot- 24, nitro bobcat- umm, 6? Will be ordering a new one soon.

Randy,
Thanks for the TN group always having something in the air flying . Maybe we could have a night prop fly inn......................he he or race. What about the ultimate with lights? You guys are always welcome and now O'Neal the bandit needs to come up and fly more often. How many Nitro Bobcat can we get to fly at the same time 8 - 10 with lights. I think Barry had a great time mixing it up with you and Scott in the prop bash. Maybe when the guys from Georgia come up in the fall we can have a Nitro Bobcat race. Jato assist might be in order to take the flag at the finish. Well done on the best sport flights award and well deserved.

Thanks Mike

WOW, what an outstanding crew the Blue Grass Jet Jam has assembled....just when you think it can not get any better they raise the bar ! ! ! I never imagined a city the size of Bowling Green (60+K) would have an RC Club with 86 members and a RC facility that accommodates major jet and big bird events.
Mark and I want to especially thank the crew for their patience in getting the hog ready for a sortie.
It is also noted that John Ligons and Scott Harris were very diligent and helpful in identifying air pockets in one of the fuel systems along with several phone calls to Jimbo.
We are delighted to report that Sharon is home after her second tour in the hospital with double pneumonia.
She is resting well and regaining her strength....Gizzie Mae is also a lot happier after their return to home quarters. Hopefully Jimbo, Sharon and Gizzie will be back on the circuit very soon. My Old Kentucky Home………Roger
