Down in flames...

Stumbeled across [link=http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2007120134,00.html]this[/link] article.

Haven't heared about this project before. Anybody know anything about it? Is there a video around somewhere?
I feel so sorry for the guy. He lost more than a plane....[:-]

Hmmm, not sure it's too great an ad for the hobby

And can someone tell me where I can get my models insured for £15,000???? ;)

This model was in RCJI in the recent past. It looked like it would fly like a hog. My condolonses to the owner. It is NEVER fun to loose an airplane.

I'd take insurance for much less than $15,000 euros! If the insurance companies are reading this, I'll give you some money! ;)

No big deal on this one... this newspaper is well known for its sensasionalist rubbish...

the only bad news here is the loss of such a nice model.

Yeah, I could just barely visualize the exploding jet fuel tanks raining fire and chaos all over the crash site, as the poor divorced builder and pilot ran for fear of his life to escape the inferno.....please...[:'(]

Dave,

Great media links, puts the whole thing in perspective. :D
£15k would get you a great hair-piece to pull the birds with, if you happened to be divorced.

I don't understand what the big deal is. After all, this IS what can potentially happen when models crash, not just model jets.

So his rabbit figured out he was not well but his ( ex-wife I guess ) didn't notice anything wrong. What's a 1 1/2 stone rabbit anyway???

A stone is an old English unit of weight and mass. One stone is equal to 14 pounds. So a 1 1/2 stone rabbit weighs 21 lbs.
