Hey,
I must agree alittle with Heatseaker or what ever his name is.
Many years ago there use to be JMA news letters, what going on, and up coming activities and things for sale etc.
I think interest has died alittle - shows with the jets meets getting fewer.
Odiham being the main point on that one.

Im going to get hit back with its on the website. But i know what you blokes are like, you need something to read on the loo!!!!!!:D:D:D

Laura - My opinion

i cannot get to the agm as i cannot drive due to a disability as i already mentioned in an email to you . Mr Rutter i actually do have a few jets of my own which i fly at a very small site close to where i live. I know that people do go out of there way to organise events but these events are not known to people who do not have internet access etc etc .
I may be an armchair moaner but i am willing to offer my services for free to do a small newsletter with events in etc that could be sent out via email or post .
if the JMA would like me too then please contact me as I am sure other members would be willing to do articles

Do ducted fans count as jets some may say yes so your opinion on ducted fans is welcome but turbines thats another matter.

RE: JMA

As promised here are some directions.

Directions to Guild Hall

From A34 Northbound

Take A415 exit(signposted as Abingdon) and go under the A34. Continue on this road to the roundabout. Go straight on. At next roundabout (There's a Mcdonalds there) go straight on. About 300 yards on you need to go straight on at double roundabout. Carry on this road for approx 1 mile. You will come to some traffic lights. You have to turn left at the traffic lights. Follow this road for approx 300yards where it forks, take the left fork. After 50 yards there are traffic lights, turn right at these traffic lights and you will be in Abbey close. Go over a couple of speed humps and then take a right turn. Follow this road and the guild hall is on the right.

From A34 Southbound

Take Abingdon North exit and go left towards Abingdon. Go straight on at the roundabout. Carry on this road(take care as there is speed camera on this road and I can vouch that it workss!). At traffic lights by the Boundary House pub carry straight on. After a mile or so there is a mini roundabout, go straight on. After 300 yards you will come to a set of traffic lights (BP garage is on the right). Go left here and you will be in Abbey close. Go over a couple of speed humps and then take a right turn. Follow this road and the guild hall is on the right. If you miss this turning then come off at the next exit and go left and follow the previous direction for A34 northbound.

From A415 (Culham)

Go over the bridge over the Thames and you will be in Bridge street. At the top of bridge street you have to turn left onto the two lane one way system. Note there is another left turn just before one way system, don’t take this. You want the one way system. Continue on this road but stay in the right hand lane. At the traffic lights turn right. Follow this road for approx 300yards where it forks, take the left fork. After 50 yards there are traffic lights, turn right at these traffic lights and you will be in Abbey close. Go over a couple of speed humps and then take a right turn. Follow this road and the guild hall is on the right.

Parking

As Dick has said there is effectively no parking at the guild hall but there is plenty of parking in Bridge Street. In addition, there is a long stay car park at the bottom of the lane that the Guild hall in on. So drive past the Guild hall and keep going until you hit a dead end and you will be in the car park. From memory it is £4.75 to park all day.
