I'm in the process of getting my Mig 21 ready and I need a bit of help with the ejection seat markings.

Anyone ?

Thanks in advance

Mr Scott,

Thank you very much for the picture, what I'm looking for is the actual marking of the Ejection seat on the side of the fuse. As I understand there are 2 markings on the same side of the plane relating to the ejection seat.

Thanks again.

Not sure which model mig 21 this is, but it isnt the norm to have a k-36 bangseat in it.

Hi Johnny,

Not sure what MIG-21 books you have, but the first one on this list is pretty new, I had it on preorder for a long time.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...0&Go.y=0&Go=Go

It has some pictures I think of what you are looking for (2 ejection warning markings on the same side of the canopy sill) but they are very small and grainy. Still some good detail pictures though.

Maybe that helps, good luck in any case,

Hi Matt,

lastnight I went on e-bay and purchased 5 books. All those that showed in your link are some of the books I purchased. Thank you all for the pics and links.

Sitting up against the wall it looks like an origami thing... good thing you don't have to build that thing. If you tried it would come out looking like the pic below.

Really .... its a Mig 21 kit.... I don't know how it ended up like this.....

LOL Jimmy !!!

Those pictures were taken last Tuesday, I will post pictures of what it looks like today. My builder is on a roll trying to get it flight worthy for the swamp meet ( no paint of course). I'll get it all scaled out when we return from the Swamp if it makes it back in one piece.

I'm still thinking, either P-70 or P-80

RE: MIG 21 Project

P-70-P-80? Are you looking for the scale 1/2 mile takeoff roll.. I was thinking you were going to say more like a 35+lb thrust engine... this is the 1/5 Mig or is this a smaller one?

RE: MIG 21 Project

Specifications:

Scale: 1/5
Wingspan: 140cm (56)
Length: 278cm (111.5)
Weight: From 30 Lbs

This sled will most likely weigh 35 lbs dry Jimmy. I think a P-70 or 80 will fly it scale. It may take a lot of runway to take off but once she's in the air I think it will be fine.

Hey Johnny,
I agree with CAJet - you might consider a bigger turbine, P-120 minimum. I saw one of these fly in Lubbock, last year - it's a big model. In fact, a P-120 might even be a bit undersized.

It looks like a cool kit - I'd like to build one some day. I'm sure it will fly great for you! [8D]
