Ya hadda vaart i Norge pa tre monter i hadda en venlig god tid!

I was an exchange student in 1972 and was taught a crash course in Norwegian for 2 weeks!

I stayed for a total of 10 weeks with a family in Dal (near Oslo)...I loved it there! We took a vacation up north to Bodo and it was fantastic!

Yes, here on Maui right now it is a brisk and chilly 69F at 5:44 AM

Bernard,
Congratulations - you've made the plunge into Kerosene and all that comes with!
The hard cash ‘expense’ of buying the model, engine, etc., is only one aspect.
The speed at which stuff gets screwed up is yet another. Safely transporting to the flying field; the long range cancer affects of breathing turbine oil; the maintenance required on your stable of flyers; the cost of diesel fuel for your motor home and there’s so much more........
Honestly, a good drug addiction is cheaper than this hobby, but I digress….
Believe me, the minor frustration of getting your charger and charge leads sorted out is nothing! You can handle it.
And listen, if you’ve been able to master the programming of the Weatronic Dual RX without killing the dog and yelling at your wife, you surely can handle a few road bumps like swapping out charge leads, etc.
In this game, one must have a lot more patience as we wait for the parts, answers, weather, etc. For you, that could be tough because the weather is always flyable in Hawaii and you’re ready to get on with it immediately.

I would have to agree. 28lbs can fly this model clean, but with the gear down and flaps down in the circuit, a significant level of throttle is required for mine with a Merlin 160. If you are hanging all those baubles on it, with that level of power, I imagine you will have to really nurse it round the circuit and will have nothing in reserve. Fly it clean first and see what you think, but with the bigger engine you can always reduce the power.
