RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
i can feel you brother!!!! what i found on my retracts & rams is that they were leaking where the air line nipple connected to the cylinder so i removed them and reinstalled with a bit of jb weld on the threads that seemed to stop the problem for me.

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
The air is leaking internally over or under the o rings. You can prove this by putting air on one side of the orings and put it in water and watch it blow bubbles.Fly eagle sent me three rams for the red controll valves and they insist they sent me the parts to fix the retracts.

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
I'm just wondering how many pepole have issues with the cylinders or the retracts, please let us know what did you do.

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
I am replacing mine with Robart 530 main and 558 nose.
|
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
I had a problem with the cylinders, wrote to James at FEJ, and within 1 week time I had 3 new cylinders in my house.
This is what I call SERVICE! These are new model cylinders, I pressure tested them - great results. Zivo |
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Hi ZivBit.....will you please post pics of the old cylinders and the new so we can compare?

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Wow, that is great customer service, I'm looking at the F-18 1: 8.75 and the big F-16, any thoughts?
|
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
aatiger, haven't had the chance to look at the F18 1/9 (close enough) yet but will have the Large F16 in stock in a month or so. Will post some pictures and let you know the quality once I have a good look around in the boxes.

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Anyone had tried the F-16 standard with tailairon configuration?
So the wing aileron will be used as flaps only. Has anyone experience these. I think that it would behave better on slow speeds during Landing. What you think ? |
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
i am thinking in the big F15 or the big F18, fly eagle has this jets available?? anyone knows the price?
|
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
You missed out on the introductory price FEJ offered on its 1/7 scale F-18 F. The price was $2960 USD for everything including a functional canopy, scale cockpit with pilots, and all the external stores. The 1/7 scale F-15E was offered a few weeks ago at the same introductory price ($2960/shipping included). This plane also comes with everything, such as a functional canopy, external stores, scale cockpit with pilot, and vector thrust. I am not sure if the introductory price is still available on F-15 E since the F-16 has now been released.

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
you dont need flaps, use the ailerons, and have elevators, the plane slows up enough to do a good landing.

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Yes you are right:
The P-80 flyes the F-16 very well. I have a P-80 in mine, F-16 advanced. It flyes good, very good. Juan. |
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Mine weigh is around 21 pounds (+/-) with a P-80.
It delivers 20.0 pounds of thrust at 123,000 Rpm's, measured with a tub bath vascule. It flyes great. juan. |

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Anybody have a picture of the F-16 in Camo ( not Desert or Tiger Camo)? I can't find a good picture of what it looks like.
Thanks, Bob |

The leading edge is operational (in the real plane) and this is why you see diference in layout of the wing root compare to the fuse. I can show you some pics of the plane and it shows. I just bought the 1:5.5 in desert camo... could not resist it anymore...P180 and TV... Cheers, Ziv |

Washout and wing root leading edge: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Italy...16B/1449924/L/ What we are seeing in the FJE photos doesn't look anything like leading edge flaps. |

Here are some photos of the otherwise impressive plane: http://www.flyeaglejet.com/F161.6.html

Other than the wing being thicker than scale, it doesn't look too bad.

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
any of you guys with 1/8 advanced f-16 with the rudder servo in the bottom of the vert fin had any high speed flutter problems ?
I have about 6 flights on my f16, the first 5 were dedicated to fixing problems with the gears not retracting fully but FEJ took care of that, now that I can retract, I tried some speed passes, holy hell on the first fly by I could see the rudder banging left and right at like 200 beats per seconds, I slowed the plane and came in for landing, it seems like the bottom hinge of the rudder has taken a beating and is now unglued. The rudder/ fin gap is soo small that there is no way to cut the hinges to remove the rudder, FEJ tried to give me some tips to remove the rudder but I dont see any ways to do it without damaging the rudder/ fin. There is no slack or any lose in my servo/ rudder horn and everything is mounted as per their assembly pictures and tips from people here, I'm using a JR servo, forgot the model... I know its digital and suposed to be the right one for the job. anyone has any ideas ? I'll post some pictures when i get home |
