Doug,

Which 7.5 engine do you have? FIRE or RIRE? If RIRE, which carb?

He162 is a good flier with that setup. I've seen several.

I have a question for you Heinkel guys. Where did you place the fuel tanks and are you using just regular pipe pressure? I have the 162 hanging in my ceiling with the new K&B 48 on it I am not sure how I should plumb it.

Frank,

The OS .46FX is not a D/F engine; won't work with side exhaust. YOu need a ducted fan engine if you want it to get out of its own way!

G-Man,

I mounted the tank in the fuse per the plans but use a perry pump on the OS-46. The round perry pump?? It required a pressure tap on the motor crankcase, it worked beautifully, the motor would idle forever and run up perfect. Thrown rod finally bit me, ended up in a tree.

my engine is the fire, perry pump and carb. its never been run. not a drop of fuel. fan is new also. i want to sell it to get a bigger fan and engine for my a4 skyhawk.

sailr 04-13-2015 11:35 AM

anyone converted one of these to electric ducted fan? If so, what did you use?

skyhawknut 04-13-2015 12:30 PM

Yes - 90mm fan. They fly good. Do a search on the "other" site, there is some good info.

sailr 04-13-2015 12:42 PM

thanks, I'll check that out. I would have thought a 90mm fan would be too small.

sailr 04-13-2015 12:48 PM

searching the 'other' site. No luck yet
