I see he is now selling a new line of EDF aircraft under the name of phoenix. In any case would be nice if he does get the Boomerang line re established
in NA as there really isn't an equivalent replacement available that I know of other than maybe BTE Reaction 54 kit.

Also not a boomer, the Dolphin Jet from Pilot-RC may be an alternative, too.
see at http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-j...iew-build.html

No alternatives needed unless in a rush... Word is out that the Boomerang will be available again in North America and they are working for a Canadian dealer also.

the pilot Dolphin looks like a good alternative as well; Thanks.

Anyone have any suggestions for me? I have a split in my carbon wing joiner and need to either repair or replace it. Looks as though it's 1" OD so I guess I could look for a replacement carbon tube but not sure where to go for it? Any suggestions gratefully received. Thx

I doubled up at each wing boom with some inner CF tubing.
I have some extra inner tubing left over . can you post just how long the crack is ? or even maybe a pick if possible. Don't mind a PM if you want.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2108071

Had about a half dozen flights and then did my first real hard landing and thus bird took all the punishment given. Bent the 1/4 in nose gear steering pin but did not brake or loosen any landing gear mounts. Thus this was built like a tank. Made up another pin and next 6 were uneventful . Flies like a *****cat. Well into fall so that looks like it for this year. Can't wait to get out again. So much fun.

I used the supplied hinges and have not had any problems.

The supplied hinge material is supposed to be pretty good. Mine is still too new to tell but if they do go I will probably replace with Robart but the Large Goldberg flats would work as well.

Had mine since 2009 re-built after a whoopsi on landing (ran out of fuel, having too much fun) in 2011 and still using the original hinges on the ailerons, elevator and rudder, so very durable IMO.

Great colour scheme..... That's what the new ones need ; is a new updated 2016 colour scheme. Been trying to get the Elan sport colour scheme put on the new Sprints. It's 2016 .... almost !

Love the color scheme Baldeagle, especially appreciate the British flavor as an ex pat living in Las Vegas. Here is my own sprint seen at a recent jet meet in Arizone, got 11 flights on it over the weekend without any problems, using a Kingtech 100 which seems perfect.

The tail design with some slight modification I owe to John Veasy of the Bickley club, he had something similar on his Falcon 120.

Vidi, quem amavi, exscripsimus..

What sort of modes ? any pictures ? Thanks

BaldEagel 12-27-2015 02:31 PM

No pics I am afraid the post is from 2011 and the pics no longer exist, but I am sure you can get the idea from the above post.

I just opened my NEW Boomerang Sprint which I received from http://www.boomerang-rc-jets.com/ (Larry Roper's Business) last October. I would like to share opinions and ideas with others assembling the same model.

Should I continue this Boomerang Sprint build thread? or start a fresh one?

Looking forward to corresponding with anyone out there working on a NEW Boomerang Sprint.

BaldEagel 12-29-2015 09:26 AM

Start a new thread, it will be good to know if any improvements have been made since its inception, but put a link on here for others to follow.

Man do I regret crashing my old Sprint! It may not be as pretty as the newer X thing out there.. but it sure was thought out and constructed properly. Even though she came in at 23lbs with the old p80se,, It felt like it was 10lbs. Its slightly more expensive than the competition but its a worthwhile investment. Had mine for over 7 years and Hundreds of flights. I think it might be time to re-invest ;)

Xairflyer 05-05-2016 12:37 PM

nice job

Desertlakesflying 05-20-2016 06:07 PM

I keep hearing about putting a few washers under the front motor mount to get some down thrust. How many washers is a few for the people who have these?

BaldEagel 05-20-2016 08:32 PM

Xairflyer 05-21-2016 02:47 AM
