RE: AMT USA
Dan,
The light just came on for me. You mentioned that you were running the engine with a turbine driver. I would be willing to bet, that your battery on driver is low or dead. The ECU battery would run down to dead. It would not run the engine to full throttle. The turbine driver would give you the same fault as a dead receiver battery. No radio present. Let me know how it goes. John Ligons US MicroJet LLC. |

RE: AMT USA
The turbine driver is a small box with a knob you use to throttle the engine, or sometimes called a reostat (sp)?
You may also check the glow plug that will give a constant error beep= hardware error. |

Dan,
Looks and sounds great !!! Congrats !!!!! I was worried about the Workmate turning over and wrecking the whole shop !!!![X(] If you plan to run it alot more I would mount the engine 90 degrees from how you have it. My Pegusus will scoot a 5 ft. shop table across the floor !!!! Glad to see you got it going your way !!!! Danno |

i'm sure you did it as i didn't watch the whole vid but be sure to add weight to the table and as a safety technique keep people forward of the compressor or turbine wheel.

RE: AMT USA
Hello people!
I need help! Some of my engines need maintenance. I'm from Brazil and I have two AMT 180sp and two AMT 280. I'm getting no answer from UsMicroJet. Do you know someone with I can talk? Here are my problems: The ECU from one 180sp only works with 11volt batteries. If I try the 7,2v I will get an error message. Low supply error. This same ECU fluctuate the EGT. It suddenly read the temperature to -50 Celsius and goes back to normal. It is not the thermocouple. I couldn’t test it with the working order ECU but the engine fluctuate the thrust in middle range and when I move back the throttle. It sounds like a hi-pressure air hose with no one holding it. The ECU from one 280 make the engine stall if I throttle up too fast and only goes to 110K rpm probably ECU software version. One 280 engine have a serious mechanical problem. It is overheating badly. It is passing 1000Celsius. I know it is the engine, because I test it with the other one components. If someone could help I will be glad. Thanks, Plautos |

RE: AMT USA
Hi Plautos, fun to meet you here!
maybe you can contact Benie at AMT Netherlands to ask questions or fix up your engine.. he is the guy to talk with. AMT Netherlands Spaarpot 34 5667 KX Geldrop The Netherlands Phone : + 31 40 7873130 Fax : + 31 40 7873139 E-mail : [email protected] Best regads, Enrique |
RE: AMT USA
Plautus:
Did you try a new thermocouple on the 180? if so does the problem persist? your thermocouple could be shorted on the inside on the 280's the first one either has a bad Combustion chamber or needles, which is not common, or has bad bearings, AMT's are some of the fastest turbines on acceleration so you may have some king of drag= bad bearings, have you manually spun the shaft to listen for bar bearing noise? |
RE: AMT USA
Mate,
Contact Bennie at AMT Netherlands and get your turbines changed to AMT Netherlands engines and ECU's ( if Bennie can help he will) - all your problems will go away immediately. Cheers, Jan |
