Does anybody know if this aircraft is still in production, and if so has anybody had any building/flying experience with this particular airframe?

Regards Frankie

G'day Frank,

Reference the A4.
John Mauchline can produce a kit for a large A4 which I had originally seen flown by Manfred Bleck as a ducted fan. It flew well once up but was very marginal off the ground. I know that Brian Green bought it and fitted a turbine but I believe he lost it with a fire!! I am not sure of the size but my recollection is that it was about 1.5m long. If you give John a call I am sure he will be able to give you more information.

Russell.

A4

Hi

This jet builds fast and light. The only two modifications were to lengthen the top hatch by 3 inches to get to the turbine and lower the incidence on the stab by 1/8 in at the front edge.

Retracts were made by Century Jets.

Thanks for the reply Russell. RC_MAN - have you flown the A4, and if so whats the performance like? More importantly, whats crosswind handling and ground handling like? And finally, how scale is it?

Regards Frank
