Getting a Tom Cook F-4
Saw this post so I figured, "what better place to ask questions"...
I'm in the process of acquiring a Tom Cook F-4... This plane was originally strengthened and set up for two RAM 500 turbines..... If you had you choice would you stick with the RAM 500 or got with something else (and what would the something else be)??? Thanks for input.. Bill |
Twin Ram500s
That would be an awsome combination. It might be a little tight getting everything installed in the plane. There isn't alot of room for fuel. With a single tubine, it would fee up some space for fuel on the CG. The bifurcated tailpipe is kind of pricey.
I will probably build mine for a single P120 with a Gary Mueller bypass and a bifurcated pipe from Tam. Good Luck |

F4 Phantom twin
Hey guys I am building a Tom Cook F-4 with a Simjet 3000. It coming together nicely, but does require allot of skilled work to build this baby. I will post some pictures of the turbine area where I had strengthened when I am done with that area. Also adding plug in wings, ¼ bulkheads, and have not decided on the color scheme. Maybe Jolly Rogers or a camo job Wild Weasel... Do you guys think that if I do not make a bypass will this affect the flight characteristics of the aircraft? And if so like what?
Dave Will be at the Beat the heat event here in FL. |
