Need some flight charactaristics of the Tom Cook twin engine F4 with OS91/Dynamax power.

Any other information would be helpful as I am looking at maybe building a plane that is partially started.

You will find the Phantom very easy to fly, no bad characteristics. You can slow it to a crawl at landing. I flew mine for 8 years in competition and fun flys. I only used OS 65's with mine and it was plenty of power and no engine issues over the whole time I owned it. It is a little more work to build than todays Jets but I think you will enjoy it. Good Luck with your project. Scott

There's a guy around here that had one with OS.77s. On the first flight of the airplane he lost one engine right after takeoff. He made one circuit and landed on the one .77. I have one of the F-4 kits, but I can't decide if I will build it for twin Dynamax or for single turbine. I don't think Tom recommends turbine-izing his kit.

Hi Guy's

I have a Cook F-4. I have a P-120 in it. We will put our first flight on it on Saturday. It is my third one. The other's were ducted fan's. I talked with Tom about putting the turbine in it. The plane has been strengthen in many area's and he said just keep it under 160 mph. So I will post more info on how the flight goes.

Hey - you're supposed to be shooting clearcoat on your Bobcat this weekend, so that you can start flying your own aircraft for a change ! ;)

I will post some pics later on the plane. Like Norm Goyer taught me 15 years ago. Always do your pictures before the first flight ;)

That's exactly what I've been trying to tell him - but you know what kids are like these days .... :boxing: .. no respect for their elders. These young whippersnappers with their need for instant gratification, yet without the willingness to put in the effort needed ... bah, humbug, and all that kinda stuff.
Oh geeze .. I think I'm turning into my dad !

I'd come up and watch, if it wasn't for the fact that I'd get lost and never make it to the field...

Unlike Bob, I do believe in luck - and I wish you the best of it.
