Stingray question

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me the length of their nose gear strut on their Stingray?

I am using the Yellow retracts, and I need to know the length of your strut, from the top of the strut to the center of the axle hole. I also need the diameter of your nose wheel.

I know what the plans call for but it does not look correct to me.

Thanks in advance,

Matt,

What do you think of those gear? Compared to the others out there of the same size?

My nose is 5 3/16'' with a 2 '' wheel and the mains are 3 1/4 from the block to the center of the axle with 2 1/4'' wheels. I had to open up the nose gear door area a bit to accomodate the longer nose strut. It sits at about pos 4 degrees.

Thanks again,

There are very pretty gear, well engineered and well executed.

Question remains if they are strong enough. Time will tell.

Hello Matt,

The way you execute the landing phase, any gear system will last an eternity!!!!!!

Why's that - does he keep landing gear-up to prevent any wear on the gear ? ;)

Hey Skeet:

I hope to see you at Fresno this year. I tried emailing you but it kept bouncing back!!

Tam's Stingray is almost ready. IF it lasts him more than 3-4 landings, you KNOW the LG is Good :) :)

Matt,
I use that same gear on my viper jet. This is 28lb jet with fuel.
It handle fine. My stingray are almost ready for this weeken test flight. I post some photos later. I got your favorite color. Puple metalic, bright green metalic and caution yellow.
I hope the Ram 500 is running. I haven't run it ever since Tony give it back to me.
Brg,
Tam
