RE: Jet Central Problems ... warantee???

I did not read thought this entire thread, so if this has been already brought up, sorry for taking up the space.

In the first post, the primary issue was the warranty. I work in an industry that specializes in the administration and legalities of warranty’s and service contracts. I read & understand coverage’s of warranties. Somebody scan the warranty and post it, I may be able to help from a legal standpoint.

Overall, a warranty only covers defects. This may be stated specifically in the warranty paperwork.

Most manufactures, regardless of the product, considers a defect a bad part or a bad assembly of the part. What the warranty does not cover is a failure. A failure is when a part no longer operates according to specs.

If the motor fired and ran, once, it could be considered, “not defective”. Therefore the warranty may have concluded, regardless of the length of the warranty, including “lifetime”. From what I have read, it sounds that the motor is not working due to a failure; it worked, however now it does not work. A chip in the compressor; sounds like a failure, not warranty.

Unfortunately, any manufacture can claim almost anything to void the warranty. Improper insulation, maintenance, care or a host of other reasons that would void the warranty.
This is not a solution; however Jet Central may be in their rights with regards to the warranty claims.

Drop kick those jets and come to the dark side of profiles and free your mind.

Your a real piece of work. why don't you spend less time coming down on an innocent decent person, with tons of experience and great reviews and waste your time else where try the investing your time and money on the african Lotto Bozo

Look Rockstar,
YOU are the one who started claiming "NEW TURBINES IN THE $1200 RANGE".... Show me one.....
You're also the one who tried selling a cheap chinese propjet as a BVM Bobcat, you then tried selling some no name nobody knows what it is ducted fan as a BVM Bandit, so instead of sending me threatening emails claiming I've SLANDERED you (show me once where I slandered you) why don't you start to do some research. An innocent decent person doesn't try to sell crap as something it's not, nor do they try to bull**** somebody with comments like "with new turbines in the $1200 range you'll have a hard time selling those engines, what do you want for them?" Tell me you're not trying to scam the OP out of engines at bargain basement prices....
So thank you for your threats in your email to me, I'll gladly keep that for when you try to nail me on a slander suit, good luck with that, again, show me where I've slandered you at all

Amen!!!!!!!! i'm tired of this "rockstar" and the crap he keeps putting on RCU, most people would know he is full of it, especially with his classified adds... But hey.. good thing for the ignore and delete buttons :D

I find it interesting that this comment from myself still hasn't been answered by The OP.... kinda seems she has just fallen from the face of RCU...
"What strikes me as strange is.... how come even after you received it and it was "locked up" you kept trying to free it up? I mean, the thing doesn' spin out of the box when it should. And according to your other post, your a smart lady. So if you Knew it wasn't right (especially after the starter wouldn't spin it), why not just call them back on the phone and ask what was up? "

Yes...back on track...

And what about the shooting of flames, it sounds like there possibly could have been some sort of installation error, can anyone confirm if the recommended layout from the manual was followed?

If I recall this was in a Shok jet, doesn't this require extentions and longer gas and fuel line runs?

Where was the gas filter and restrictor in relation to the turbine? Was the one way vale installed in the gas line to prevent blow back??

Something has to cause a hot start....

Alright.. I'll try to answer some of it.

First, She only has access to the internet through her iphone (pita to check the threads etc..) She'd not 'subscribed' so Usually she'll come back on when I tell her that she should check it and maybe respond.

Some of the confusion comes from not knowing the order of events. When she first got the bee (going by memory here) she installed it in the shoky but it had a bad ecu. After that was replaced the bee ran great for many good flights.

Then, the shoky lost it's wing on a flight (known problem with them). The engine was sent in and repaired then but after that never was back running like it should. I believe this is when it wouldn't turn over etc (of course I told her to contact Eric and send it back etc!!) I believe she did call, not sure of course of what was said in the conversation. I don't know exactly how 'locked' up it was. Whether it was stiff or completely locked (which I doubt). Right after this I believe is when she was getting 'hot starts' which I believe weren't that at all. I know she did call on the hot starts and was told that it would be alright (I told her I didn't think so, better find out what's going on).

Anyway, just wanted to try and clarify a couple of things..

How time changes things

[QUOTE=katarinaconnors;9184035]One more note. If Jet Central is a good as some of you think Eric would consider all the problems I had with the engine and cover it under warantee or at least offer to split it. After all it was witnessed by Gerry Hinshaw and others. Then I would put him back in the white hat group and I would owe him my regrets.

I learned a long time ago that how one treats you is about them and how you treat them is about you. It is one thing to look out for your interest but another to seek revenge. I reacted to being treated what I thought unfair and I opologize for that but I was really dissapointed because I never expected this to happen especially by Eric and i also love that little engine
and it hurts to see it burnt and broken. Kind of tramatic!! Mothers do react when their babies......

Done with this discussion

Pax Et Bonum

It is amazing how things change ... I have 6 Kingtech, that never have a problem or hot starts and I am treated great.. oh, and they cost half what they used to. Eric is retired and TBM has long closed their doors ... funny how time cures wounds and weeds out the snake oil salesmen ... jets are now as reliable as my toaster... after this last years flying my knees are clean as I never even have to hook up the propane or grab the fire extinguisher.. like I said one day turbines will grow up and be reasonable cost and little trouble.. wow finally enjoy the smell of Jet A without the smell of bull or Eric / TBM. Happy 2020, everyone enjoy..

Warbirdsforever 12-28-2019 06:36 PM

We finally got our dreams but it took the Chinese to do it... wow!
