The Epic was finished this past summer, and now has 25 plus flights. Takes a while to slow it down though!

To bad this model is no longer in production, as it is a very stable flyer.

Ron

Could you post more pictures of internal equipment arrangement  ( tank , radio tray , turbine support equipment trays , front LG install ) , also
I am interested in recommended throws for control surfaces.

Thank you
Dragan

Fuel tank mounted on CG. I'll get more pics once the plane is disassembled.

Aileron throw: 1" on high rate
Elevator throw : 1" on high rate
Rudder throw : 1.5" on high rate

Flap throw....all you can get!
Crow 1/2" with full flap

It flies much like a glider and we fly it on high rates, as the control response is slow.

RE: Epic Victory Build

I had phoned the Epic factory, after many failed attempts to contact Rick Schramek. Seems there is an issue with the copyright of the design. The owner of the company was not real happy with me asking questions regarding the model. I remember a while back there was a thread on here discussing this (design infringement).
His words to me were" Just because you associated with a bad guy...doesn't make you bad".

I inquired about the possibility of obtaining the molds, which were property of Epic. He explained that they were illegally taken, and the person is now bankrupt. You can fill in the blanks..... His last comment was that his company is in business to build real jets.

So to answer your question...I doubt there will be any of these offered anytime soon.

To bad, they sure do fly nice!

So after this conversation, I phoned Piper in Florida to inquire about obtaining a 3 view for a Piper Meridian. (I had wanted to do a TP conversion with the Epic. )
The person that answered the phone was not nice at ALL. "You modelers shouldn't be stealing our designs!!!"
Geeeezz...........

I will see if I can get hold of Rick, he lives here in town and see what's up....

At one time... Full scale aviation companies would have been honored to have models made after the real thing.

Hello all,

we made an new kit from the Graupner Epic Victory....

Well we did this for Graupner..... but the Graupner Factory is bankrupt and we did 4 Models for them... They do not want big composite Models anymore... so we have 4 more models we can sell....

We redetailed the Kit, so now the kit is Superscale and ARF and Inmold paint.

Before it was an quite poor model. all wood and parts has to installed by customer...

Now:

- All Wood is installed and Glued Properly
- Door is hinged and installed and Working
- Air Intake is painted Black and installed
- Turbine Holder is installed
- Front hood is working and Locking installed
- Wing is 2 pcs for better handling
- Surface is detailed with screws reviets and covers
- All elastic hinged rudders now in Scale hinges
- We also have Scale Retract, Legs and Wheels
- Also Tank is inluded, instaleld and holds 4 liter

Price also is better like Graupner Price was.... We talk 2.799 Euro for the ARF Kit and 749 Euro for the Complete Retract set.
