RE: Help for making a plug from foam

Hi,
Using spray filler seems like an easy solution... but unfortunately, I do not have access to spraying facilities (spray gun, compressor and spray booth)... Do you happen to know if these are available in spray can form?

Not sure if I should mix up a batch of epoxy and microballoons to ketchup consistency or thicker and coat the entire plug with a thick layer of it.

I think I made a mistake in sandwiching the plywood pieces in between the foam segments. The low spots are formed before and after a few of the plywood pieces, caused by uneven removal of foam and wood during sanding.

Hi Munz try adding asmall amount of 2k thinner or cellulose thinner to the filler as this makes it much easier to butter the plug with filler.there are lots of different 2k stoppers with different consistencies,which may help you ,go to your local body shop supplies ,and ask them.

Hello::)

You can add micro ballons at get the mixture that you want. If you add micro ballons enough you can put the glass upside down and not fall.

Regards.

I did not go the epoxy /microballon path... found a woodfiller that was quite easy to work with and sands well...

Pic shows sanding done after coating the entire plug with a layer of the filler. Still can feel some uneven spots on the surface. I am thinking of spray painting the sanded plug white and then recoating it with a second layer of filler to fix the uneveness.
