Thanks Patrick!!! You captured my thoughts completely. I've read some posts in the past that gave BV sole credit for the twin boom design.....I've also read the malicious comments and verbal barbs from these modelers when another twin boom sport model is born. I guess I just got sick of it. It is my opinion that the BobCat did popularize this type of model. Right now, the twin boom sport jet appears to be in vogue.....I wonder what the future will be!!! :D

With all of the similar looking planes here, I'm starting to feel like I'm at a pattern contest again! :)

wd40,
Good luck with your new Tango. Don let me fly his prototype at Heart of Ohio, it is a fun sport jet.
Do add some up elevator mix with the flaps, it will making the 1st landing a lot easier. Talk to Don for what we programmed into his, but I believe it is something like 3/16" of up trim with full flaps.
See you at Superman

Any idea about short-field performance?

How it will compare with say, Facet/AV8R/Boomerang short field capabilities? (Please no 'war of models' intented. It just that the Facet/Av8R/Boomerang do seem to target the short field problem well, but are not ARF).

Tango or rookie

Which one should I get?

900 feet of grass, probably a P-80 to power it.

Hi guys,

Can someone tell me how the fuel system is set up in the Tango? Are they Kevlar tanks or, molded plastic, or a combination of Du-bro's? Just curious...

Thx,
Kelly :)

I now have some flights on this Tango and it flys great It does what you tell to and slows down good also. This would make a good frist jet and will fly off short runways.

Just came back from flying and it flys beautiful, really enjoyed flying the Tango. It
flys like a pattern airplane. Landings are smooth and slow w/flaps. Here is a picture
of the Tango.

The Tango is flyig better with each flight I have found not to use to much flap on landings about 15% is all she needs with speed break down, and I have to come up on power some with the T-500 I my install more power soon.
