Again a difficult panel, is has a hinge in it. On scale it is to little to make, this is my solution :).

http://www.modelbouwforum.nl/forums/...e86563-001.jpg

Cut little strips of 1mm aluminium.

On the plug.

More patience than I, with that hinge peter. It came out great! Gotta love bit pieces... lots of detail, but when they go down, the time spent on the detail is well worthwhile b/c then it looks like Big progress has been done

Peter Coers 11-14-2011 02:31 AM

RE: My scale 1/5 F-16 B

An extra small detail :D

[X(][X(][X(] I do not envy you having to make that panel!

So how'd you do it?

RE: My scale 1/5 F-16 B

Hi thomas, with a lot of patience :D:D. It is not so difficult, the hatches are cut with a knife and the hinges are made just like the previuos one.
Used a piece of sieve for the acces panel. The push buttons are made with a socket punch and have the right size :D, ofcourse.

Every time I am enjoying it more and more. :) After a light scratch with steel wool it lookes like this.

The first ventralfin is also ready.

Made two shells and folded the ends to get more stifness.

http://www.modelbouwforum.nl/forums/...e87333-007.jpg

Also two alu bulkheads on the inside for stifness.

http://www.modelbouwforum.nl/forums/...e87334-009.jpg

A nice brass profiel on the front, just like the real one and I will later finish it of with aluminium tape.

On the plug in a 15 degrees stand.

Peter, that is looking great! Definitely over the top in details, and something most of us only dream about.

RE: My scale 1/5 F-16 B

Over the top in details????? Eh I am building a scale model and than everything has to be there :D. I know You have to be a bit [sm=spinnyeyes.gif] to do this :D. Tell you what, until now I haven't missed a rivet.
With these details you won't look foolish on any competition ;).

I will make more B's so you're dream can come through in the future Thomas :D.
