Default Savage Diff Grease

Has anyone run across a good substitute for diff grease? I ordered some from Tower & I'm sure I'll use it but I was wondering if I can find something at an auto parts store or department store that would work just as well if not better.

You can use any good grease from your auto parts store or wal mart or wherever. It's all the same stuff.

its depends some like using 1000weight in there rear diff and 3000 in there front diffs.....

That is one thing i learned from reading on forums...So i too bought the same diff lube i have 1000,3000 and 5000 weight oil on the shelfs.....

I am rebuilding my rear diff and when i receive my final parts i am going to put some 1000 weight oil in it.....

Cool. I'd hate to have to order another tube when I take my rear diff apart. Thanks!
