Default HB Lightning GTX2 Engine Replacement

Hi!

I bought two nice gtx2s for a god price on the bay, and tried to replace the HB .26 's with two LRP .32. They fit on the chassis, but the plastic piece of the gas linkage hit against the carb and cannot work correctly (LRP carbs seem to be a little more deported than HB) . Doesn't seem it will work unless I modify the gas linkage.
Has anyone replaced the stock engines without modifying the gas linkage? Or maybe done a custom gas linkage?

Thanks a lot!
Rhaco

Hi,

Thanks for your reply! Yes I've already tried rotating the carb, but the space between it and the gas linkage plate is still to small..
I've seen some people using axials .32, lrp z28r or piccos .28, but nothing about modifying the gas linkage.. Maybe it's just the lrp .32 that won't fit.

I'll try to take some pics tomorrow.

Hi,

Still no photos, but I'm talking about this part, nr C8228;

Maybe someone knows some engines which are really direct replacement? I've seen a couple of guys on google who put some big blocks as LRP .28 and axial .32, but pix and even more infos are quite hard to find.. This truck is really fun to drive, pretty torquey even with the .26's, can't imagine with some .32's..

Thanks!
