Default Help!!!!

So I installed a xerun 3400kv brushless 4 pole motor in my pede vxl with a x car 120 a esc. The esc lasted 20 min and died they are giving me my money back I really need advice on what esc to buy for this motor I am thinking the castle sidewinder sv3 but can't figure out if it will work with 4 pole motor. Please flood me with recommendations.

Is your pede 2wd or 4wd? If it's 4wd you need to get an esc that's meant for short course trucks (SCT) or bigger. If it's 2wd you can go lower rated but you might find its marginal in some situations where the SCT won't be. SCT esc's are usually rated for 120amp and I wouldn't go lower than about 80amp even if 2wd. And skip the Hobbyking/Turnigy junk, sometimes you get lucky, other times not so much. Too much of a crapshoot if you ask me.

If you go to Castlecreations.com you'll see they sell the SV3 with 4 pole motors, so yes it'll work with 4 pole motors. But for a stampede I'd skip the SV3, you're better off with the Castle SCT Pro or Mamba Max Pro. In options other than Castle you can always get a Hobbywing like the motor, maybe the Zerun SCT. Just have a look on their site and see what esc they usually pair with that motor.
