Tmaxx naysayers... What say you about the Sportmaxx??
It's funny, I here t-maxx this and t-maxx that. It sure gets a lot of attention.
Anyways, I bought a Sportmaxx a ways back. I automatically wanted to
make it like a T-Maxx... 4wd and 2 speed were installed shortly after
I bought it. It was ok I guess. I wasn't super excited and I was breaking
the typical stuff. I was getting frustrated...
It wasn't until I decided to put it back to it's original state that I started
to really have fun with it. I can't explain it. It gets GOING fast, it is well
tuned, and it handles better then with 4wd (at least how I drive), and
I haven't broken anything since. I actually love this truck now.
If you get a Sportmaxx and read the Sportmaxx articles on Traxxas's
website (making it more like a stadium truck), and make some changes
per the article, you will find a light, tuned, and well handling and very capable
machine.
figure the Sportmaxx has several advantages-
Between the front axle, driveshaft and side shafts, and the reverse servo of
the T-Maxx, the Sport Maxx probably weighs 8 ounces less, hence lower
center of gravity, and LESS stuff that can break.
Impacts will be less strenuous since the vehicle has a) lower speed and lower weight and
b)less potential energy (e.g. front impact at 40MPH @ 15 pounds compared to 30MPH @ 14.5 pounds)
Anyways, I am convinced the Sportmaxx is a great RC vehicle, so for anyone out
there considering buying a monster truck, don't shut it out.

the reason y the t-maxx is getin a lot of attention is because theres a "war" between savages and t-maxxs and the sportmaxx to some ppl is just a t-maxx w/o 4wd so techically there talkin bout both trucks

LOL I bet my maxx would have eaten your maxx!! LOL Mine performed just as good as it looked!! But hey my Mugen would eat your maxx and casey's terra, oh sure you might be able to run me over but at 30mph I dont think it will hurt, however if I was to blast into the side of either one of your trucks at 50+mph the mugen would rip it in half and keep on going. LOL
