RE: HOW TO CONTROLL THE BEAST
You have look at where you are and where the people are that are voicing opinions. If you want more channels available to you, instead of just 6 on 27Mhz vs a lot more on 40Mhz - What radios can you get in the 40Mhz range. hmmm most time that would be a really nice stick radio.
In the US they can use 75Mhz and a lot of really nice radios in the 75Mhz range. Not legal in the UK though.
Here is link to the 1 I ordered:

It is legal in US and UK. It is a 27Mhz. I have not seen any 40Mhz radios that are pistol grip with the wheel yet myself.

I am from the US - Just live here in the UK. I order almost everything from Towerhobbies or stormerhobbies, american companies that have online catalogs and stuff a like. That radio has a 10 model memory. Which is nice since I have 8 different RC's.
j-maxx - stick radios for airplane only is mainly USA - Over seas they use them for airplane but also cars/trucks/buggies A LOT..... the high end racers at a lot of the nationals and so forth, use a stick. That is why I mentioned before that tegwin should look at location.
