schu-maxx
at the moment, i am working on a project that incorperates t-maxx sizes onto the schumacher xt-r. it should go somewhere in the regions or 80+mph.
imagine that, an 80mph t-maxx.

It is changing gearing more than an engine. Even still - the TMaxx tyres are a lot bigger and heavier. The weight alone will make it go slower. For speed drop an engine in that has more BHP and better gearing for top end and put some buggy tyres on, they are very light in comparing to TMaxx tyres.

RE: schu-maxx
Plus the Schumacher weighs less than half the maxx, so there is another issue.
Also, it will never even resemble a maxx if you can get it going that fast. You are going to have to change everything.
Maybe if you get a maxx body to fit on the Schumacher it might look like a maxx but then the tires are different, shocks are different, etc.
You can do it, but it won't be a maxx.

RE: schu-maxx
yeah, but if i upgraded everything, including shocks, and it beat a maxx, then it would rock.
it'd need a pretty big extension because the sizes of those 1/8ths are massize.
i reckon it fits maxx shells already, as i tested the standard t-maxx one, and it's just long enough, so i've ordered a hpi one.

I would love to have one - but it is not 1/8 scale. The club I race at does not allow 1/10 scales. Not enough interest. So only 1/8 and 1/6 scale for racing there.

RE: schu-maxx
What are you talking about?
If you upgraded the shocks and everything else and it beat a maxx it would be cool?
It can already beat a maxx in a race, so how else can you beat a maxx?
Also, like Kuma said, it has a 3-speed and maxx's don't.
Plus the Shcumacher is only half the weight of the maxx.
It doesn't even classify anywhere near the maxx.

RE: schu-maxx
you see, if you could be the same size as the t-maxx, and beat it, then you could enter into 1/8 races. then you would rule the world
also, i'm going to cape town in south africa in december, anyone know where toget fuel out there? you can't take fuel on the plane, a big no no.
