TMaxx Forward Only convert
Want to here from those who has put in the forward only conversion to their TMaxx. Any issues you run into?
I did the rebuild of the tranny with the forward only gears.
I have not started engine to test yet. It is raining and don't want to test and tune in the rain today. Sometimes I do it anyway, but I will wait on this.
Thanks.

The only issue I had was needing the transmission screw hole fix kit. I knew I probably needed it before I began taking the transmission off but I couldn't wait to get all that extra junk off my Maxx. Once the screw hole fix kit was installed everything was excellent.

Cool - I bought the Traxxas forward only conversion kit for $10 american - it came with the screws to cover the wholes.
Have to wait for no rain to test it now.[&:]

I should have been more descriptive in my previous post. The screw hole fix kit I was referring to is the one that fixes the transmission-to-chassis mounting holes. These plastic transmission housings have the worst mounting holes in them ever, after removing the screws for the first time most of them become ruined. The fix-kit typically contains a correct size drill for opening up the transmission holes to allow the fit of brass threaded inserts. These Brass inserts are knurled on the outside so when you press them in to the newly drilled holes they won't come out, they'll simply grip into the plastic. The kit also should come with new screws for each insert. Cheap fix and VERY much worth it.
