not out yet, www.cenracing.com you can find all the specs there, it has to be bigger, in every sense, huge fuel tank, huge motor bigger than everyone else, more shocks than anyone else, and biggest tires stock...... it has a cellphone built right in with a dvd navigation system too!... mini bar is extra....

I talked to CEN a few weeks ago. They said that they are going to release the specs on the engine next week (around the 6th) and they will be releasing the truck around the last week in Jan or the first week in Feb. They are not sure, they were doing more testing on the truck because they went with a bigger motor than origionaly planned( the first motor was a .30 but they upgraded to the .46). I tried to get demensions on the truck but they were unclear on how big it is. If what the rep told me is true, then it's not much bigger if any than the Mammoth. They said the price will be around $450 - $500. We'll have to see if this holds true or not. [8D]

Yeah Mecky, we’ve been over this.
I’ve always made it a rule to never buy anything when first introduced. I like testing and reviews, do’s and don’ts, etc. I use this rule primarily for real vehicles since I trade about every 3 years. I also made it a rule in the RC field but I think I’m going to break that rule for once.
When this thing hit’s the market, it’s mine. MINE I TELL YA, MINE!!!

The CEN Genesis will not be out until late March. It is however complete. Small details such as box design and packaging are now in the works. Hold your darn horses.

Greetings,
I almost purchased an OFNA Titan Twin but after much introspection and research I cancelled that order and elected to wait for the Genesis. As it stands based on information I acquired today; it is expected that the first 500 trucks will be in their owners hands in late February (For those smart enough to have pre-ordered anyway) Though much remains unknown I based my decision on my working experience of CEN products, these guys have consistantly put to market products that just put others to shame from a quality stand point. A good way to think of CEN is they figured out a way to double the quality and features and get it to market at half the price of the competition. Rare but it happens, anyone familiar with their CT-4S platform can vouch for this. That's my two cents.

That is a good rule, But I've got my name on the pre-order list. I'm sure the first batch will be rather small (500?). I'm afraid that the price of this giant might go up after it's been on the market for a while. They're offering a lot of truck at a relatively low price. If the first batch gets rave reviews, then the demand will grow and maybe the price. As far as working the bugs out, and waiting to get it untill then, I'm sure there will be replacement parts for any possible weak links the truck may have.

I'm pretty sure you wont need to worry about the price going up. Look at the MT2. the price on that has stayed steady even though sales have picked up since I bought my truck in october.

I hope your right. The MT2 is pretty standard in design compared to it's competition, I mean it has it's own personality, but it's not exactly innovative. The Genesis looks to be the flagship vehicle of cen, it appears that they are trying to set the new standard in MTs, both in size and features. It's twice that of a tmaxx or savage, and doesn't seem to have any direct competition. The initial price of around $500 (speculation) is very close to the existing market, and will quickly attract the consumer eye. Once it gains it's niche in the market, the price may go up (I hope not) untill someone offers a comparitive truck.

I don’t much care about the price. I just want that dang truck!
However, I learned a long time ago to never by the “first new” of anything. I like to wait for reviews on all products I buy costing more that $100. At the same time, the guys that just can’t wait and jump on the first new thing upon availability, I applaud them and in fact need them. If everybody thought as I, then I’d never see a review.
Sometimes I’m just really glad that me and some people disagree.
Now somebody get the damn thing and tell me about it!

Tell you what billy, I will take up a donation to buy a Genensis. then I will report on it for all to see. Then you can buy one after that.
I would love to have a Genesis, but the wife says one truck is to many. So I can't spend any money on another truck. I keep trying to get her interested in the MT2, but so far she isn't takin the bait.

I know what you mean mecky. My wife doesn't like my Tmaxx either, especially when it takes up a spot on the table. But when she starts complaining, I just say "SHUT UP WOMAN, GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN!" Yeah right, she'd kick my arss for saying that.

That’s because your command is all wrong.
It should be “SHUSH IT!! GO FIX ME A SAMMICH!!!! WITH LOTS OF MAYO!!
Just hope she doesn’t bring you a PBJ with the extra mayo.

I called CEN last week asking about the engine in the Genesis. They were to release the specs on it at that time but they havent finished the developement of the motor yet. They said they were still working on the motor. They also said the truck will be released in February. I hope so, but if they still havent finished the motor, how much testing if any have they done on it? Anyway, the tech I talked to said the truck will be out in Feb, and they expected the cost to be around $500 - $550. So far every time I talk to them the price goes up[
]. It looks like we'll just have to wait and see. but it is going to be here soon I hope.
