Default Nitro Quake Question

I just got my first rc truck, nitro quake. Is there a 2 speed and reverse tranny that will fit this model. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

have you call Duratrax, the nitro quake & thunder quake are very similar trucks, may be the parts are interchangable. or look into tower hobby's web site see if the parts are the same, I have a TQ & the reverse sure come handy when you are in a jam. good luck

yes it can be done ... the nitro quake , thunder quake , and axis all use the same chassis ...

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCTT8&P=7

so you just need the reverse / and 2 speed / and front and rear drive shafts ... then clutchbell and transmission set up ...

check out this forum ... [link=http://home-bound1.com/tqforum/index.php?sid=30f311542c979c081ec8b0ecb0752f18]forum[/link]

and ask mvaughn12 ... i think he has a whole transmission for sale ...alot cheaper than tower .. may be able to find one on e-bay also ....

there are alot of guys on that forum i believe that did the conversion ....
